Hello Greg
Good call on ph….. many don't understand why this is important.
Wascally Wabbits
rabbits are not a problem, you get your meat and vegetables together for supper.
Great advice!
If I miss a pH test I'll drench with a compost tea. Not advice just sometimes I forget and need a backup plan.
My tips from an Ole' Lady gardener of nearly 60 years is to listen to the Ole' gardeners; both male and female. I recommend starting small. There is MUCH to know about gardening. It's like having babies that require daily care.
If you are on a budget, and cannot afford weed blocks, mulch, etc., take a walk through your garden daily, pulling the little weeds before they become big. This is a good time to look at a the soil too. Make sure it has the right amount of water; not too much, and not too little. This is almost a meditative experience, so during this walk through, talk to your plants using positive, higher vibrational words, like "I love you," "Thank you," You're beautiful," etc. It is a scientific fact that words resonate frequency and plants produce more fruit with higher nutritional values, based on loving acts of kindness. While you're at it, practice using those words on your friend, family, and your neighbors, you'll might just be surprised at the results.
Thank you Ole' Man for your videos, even seasoned gardeners like us enjoy watching…no pun intended. 😉
May I add, don't plant the rows too thick! :-0 Buy a good planter and avoid the cheap plastic stuff. My Hoss seeder is awwwsome! Boundaries? I once read a book about boundaries… seems only right it might apply to gardens 🙂
Yepper, your plants know when they need water. If you hand water 💦 the first several weeks, your more likely to catch small problems before they become bigger headaches!
I cant believe your products (Hoss) are now for sale on Amazon! Wow! Good for you!
Great tips Greg.
And plant a pollinator garden near to attract pollinators. Be sure to spray early morning or late evening for pest problems. Remember if it were not for bees man would cease to exist in in a few years.
thank you for taking it back, again, to new gardener tips.
This is my first year gardening, and I planted way too much. Luckily everything is looking great. Without drip tape I wouldn't have been as successful. I'm definitely the first in my neighborhood to have beautiful gold squash/zucchini. The UPS man complements my garden every time he drops off a package. Thank y'all over at Hoss for helping me. Growing down here in the desert of Southern NM has had learning curve.
Good video Good looking garden
Thanks Greg.
I bought the Golden Delight zucchini and checked my ph levels and it was perfect. I've also been fertilizing them too. I planted 8 plants from the seed I bought from you all. None of them would not produce at all. I dont think I'm gonna plant those again. I wished I had bought the golden prize squash instead.
I plant beans in partial shade now because my yields have been greater. To each his own. Love your vids!
Thanks for the advice; I added a spigot to the garden and bought a soil test after watching… Thanks!
