    it was nice to find you and hear of your container garden. i was able to grow a vegetable garden (grow anything, really) for the first time in my life. it was exhilarating! i also live very close to a wild nature area, so i completely understand the struggle of feeding my need for plants or feeding them. i was able to use my 2nd floor deck this year, which helped enormously. we had 3 severe storms, and my tomatoes took direct hits each time in addition to watering issues at the end of my line, so i haven't gotten any toms. however, my yellow squash and zucchini were fantastic along with pole beans, bush beans, cucumbers, and bell peppers. none of my root vegs have grown anything but tops for some reason, but i will continue trying them too. congrats on what you learned and i'm glad you enjoyed the process – i certainly was surprised and will never be without a garden again. i hadn't thought of journaling about it, so thank you for the inspiration.

    Cat, I wasn’t feeling well today, so I spent some time going through some of your older videos. I got the motivation to do some veggie gardening this year, some in pots and some in the ground. We planted tomatoes, peppers, onions, strawberries, and herbs, as well as a few flowers. My compost also gave us a cucumber, 2 squash , more tomatoes, and additional peppers I think. I live in southern Nevada, so I will probably need to add some shade cloth soon. Are you gardening this year?
