  1. Becky we buy plywood and my husband cuts to size for the shelves.
We leave the original shelf plus plywood any of the shelves you buy will not hold the weight of your home canned food.

  2. You can actually water bath can low acidic items. I live in the Netherlands and pressure canning is almost non existent here. You just have to make sure you boil your food for 5 minutes before consumption.

  3. Becky, besides the fact that I love all the canning varieties you do, I'm really curious about the dehydrated and freeze dried items. I do NOT have either a freeze dryer (I know they were just on sale) or a dehydrator, other than a very old and very small round one. I can not justify having both. If you had to choose one or the other, which would YOU say is the most practical for YOU.

  4. Do you drain the coleslaw, and add mayonnaise or ranch dressing? You can also rinse it and fry the cabbage with potatoes. May I have your sloppy joe recipe? I love your grocery store.

  5. I would have to run a simple line of painters tape across the front of the shelves and label, nobody else will know what they are without checking the lids for everything and going to a video to watch is tedious. I am so not organized or fanatic and I do not can anything but as I get older I have more concern about others knowing what or where things are (if you know what I mean.)

  6. I love that there no labels but you know what everything is! Love your channel. Very inspiring.

  7. You may consider putting labels on the shelves of the items in the jars. I know that you are aware of all the items by sight but if someone else came downstairs to get something for you, they would not know what is what from a distance.

  8. Hey Becky, just wanted to say how much I enjoy and learn from your videos. I’m in my sixties and have always cooked , brewed and preserved food. I’ve only recently started pressure canning and I’m glad to say it’s growing in popularity here in the UK. We still rely on the knowledge of all you canning friends over the pond, so a big thank you. I must also say how amazing you are looking considering how far you are into your pregnancy. Huge hugs from across the Atlantic. Ros x

  9. Here's another idea or two for your homemade grocery store chow chow. It's cabbage, peppers, onions, seasonings (can't remember all of the seasonings right now). The other idea was a product we buy in NC called Veg-All®. There is a style that's vegetable soup size and one that's stew size.

  10. I would be screwed if I didn't label the sides of the jars! LOL Too short to read the tops and too scatter brained to remember everything. I would want to use my vinyl cutter for labels but would so end up with just using a dry erase marker out of laziness. Hehehe!

  11. Nice!! I made orange marmalade this past summer. Was my first time. Love it!! 💘 looking forward to it!

  12. I love it ! I also buy in bulk organic. We do not know what will come, so I prefer to be responsible for us and to be prepaired. Lots of love for the big day to come for you and your family from Germany

  13. I thought I would let you know that I have those shelves. I got mine at Home Depot. They also sell pre cut plywood 3/4” thick that will fit in the shelving unit to replace those sagging shelves. Hope this finds you well and praying for a healthy baby for you and Josh.

  14. My beef broth never comes out that dark. I need your secret. I did a small batch (5-6 jars) of red cole slaw. I'm not a fan either.

  15. I'd like to know what camera and editing software you use don't want to be a YouTube er or anything but want to make videos for my real estate business.

  16. Becky it looks amazing!! They have magnetic strips that you can use wipe off markers on and then you can label the shelves and make things easier for anyone going down to your pantry for something for you. I miss my basement pantry😢

  17. Hi Becky, wanted to give you a tip on how to use dehydrated onions. Instead of powdering them, you can fry them up with a bit of oil and put them on top of the lentil and rice dish I have seen you make. In the middle east, we call that lentil dish Mujadarrah. We add the fried onions on top and serve it with yogurt. Super yummy! Thanks again for your amazing video. I learn so much from you!

  18. How do you trust, that the canned items you've canned, won't go bad over time or end up with sallmenila? I have never been able to be that confident about canning, I'll usually still refrigerate my canned items lol.
Can you give us some tips on how we can be totally sure we won't end up with spoiled foods ty

  19. Becky I noticed that some of your jarred potatoes are not under the liquid. I thought they had to be under the liquid. Please school me on this lol.

  20. I start most mornings out by putting on an acre homestead video and I honestly think it’s made my life better. I feel more positive and I always look forward to my mornings now. Thanks for that Becky and fam! 🥰

  21. Way to go Becky ,you have done a wonderful job. You were made for for this with your parents incouragment. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💙💚❤️🙏🙏🥰🤗
