  1. #ROOTS. I want to grow all the roots to replace white potatoes but I have to work on my root game. Lots of nitrogen in my soil. I end up with super healthy super long leaves and little to no root. Have to do better this year.

  2. Just discovered your channel. Nice to see somebody else has a seed buying addiction. I think I have purchased 80% of everything on Baker Creek. If you do the Chinese Shawo in spring they be hot not sweet. Malaga is beautiful. They shine up great.

  3. # Roots. Hi Sheree no I didn’t get any Micro greens seeds from you. I love al the variety of veggies you share with us. Thanks Sheree 💕

  4. #roots Hey I would love the Valerie’s. Your seed collection is blowing my mind! Those grocery store carrots are cracked n tasteless. So, I’m growing 🥕for the 1st time this yr. Pisa Asita Black, Uzbek Golden, Danvers 126. TURNIPS r my fav to add to my mixed greens. I just have the Purple Tops. I’ll try radishes again (epic fail in 2121).

  5. #Roots my favorite root crops are carrots, white, yellow and green onions, sweet potatoes and radish. Beets are growing on me, I didn’t like them until I tasted them pickled.

  6. This was very helpful and encouraging….I am in zone 9a… the what it’s gonna be like during the day weather…lol

  7. #Roots Thank you for sharing, you answered a lot of questions I had with some seeds I’ve been eyeing for the future. I planted out some of those Bulgarian Leeks and Zebrune Shallots in the fall hoping they’d get a head start in the spring. I’m only zone 7a however we can get up to 50 degree swings from day to nighttime temperatures and the last frost isn’t until late May or early June. Plus, usually the second or third week of September it randomly gets to like 19F for a night(then goes right back to 90) and then we don’t see another freeze until mid-late December so I am very much learning timing as well. I had great luck with the Zebrune Shallots last spring/summer (3 per greenstalk slot), my only complaint was not planting more! I just started some of the Yellow of Parma onions (one just sprouted today, yay!😁 ), I’m hoping to have them for storing while we can eat the shallots, leeks and bunching onions first. This year I’m going to try sweet potatoes, ginger, turmeric and potatoes (all from the store). Next week is a big planting week for me too! I’ll be sowing kohlrabi, and cosmic purple carrots as well as transplanting an assortment of kale, broccoli and a few colors of Swiss chard. Thank you again for sharing and explaining so much!

  8. This was such a great video in your plans for the root vegetables. So many varieties and things I have never even heard of before. Looking forward to seeing these in the garden.🪴

  9. Shawn fruit i really want to grow it. Thanks for your opinion on it, that really helps. Lots of comments, lots of things in videos that are interesting 👍🏾.

  10. Maca roots from what seed company? Beets I grew were very small. Cant wait to start the sugar beets. Uzbek looks very good. I plan to grow at least 10 varieties this year, lol.
