  1. Looking forward to the video! Quick question for the “oracle” I am laying Indian sandstone slabs, the mix used so far is 4 sharp to 1 blue circle cement semi dry, I first layed 100 x 100mm raj edging sandstone cobbles, I have noticed the colour is very grey now it’s dried, it also seems to be very crumbly? I used a good helping of slurry under every cobble stone before laying. They seem well secure just not happy with the dried texture. To confirm I have not layed nor has it been less than 8 degrees c.
    Thanks!

  2. Glad the sun came out for you Justin what a Nightmare to start with look forward to next week's instalment

  3. Thanks for the update Justin. Better conditions for you this week, so looking forward to seeing you laying some bricks next week.

  4. A lot of work there Justin, so much better when you're in out of the mud especially in winter. Getting there😃😃

  5. What a project . Looked like a nightmare on the last video . Amazing progress. Look after your back Justin. Well done

  6. We used to call the concrete wagon the panick wagon as that’s what we used to do panick 😂😂

  7. I always pipe aco drains into a small gully pot then pipe the gully into the manhole, the gully acts as a silt trap and gives much easier access to clean out 👍

  8. As an ex-Army guy I have got to say your man management skills are just brilliant – your guys really suffered during that awful rain, shifting that slop whilst wet and cold must have been miserable work for them. And then, after clearing up the workplace, the Boss gives them half a day off, with pay, as a gesture to say 'Thanks fellas!'. That's what I call a real 'Boss'. Are you listening Jay!

  9. Excellent work Justin and lads it’s exciting knowing what the job is gonna look like when finished, you guys work extremely hard put up with some sh*# but still do an amazing job always, keep it up lads 👏🏻👍🏻👊🏻

  10. Great vid mate
Weather has been horrific here last week or so
Managed to do my back in to
    Final push to Xmas now

  11. Im exactly the same when it comes to concreting!! 😂😂 even a small pour and it makes me nervous even though its prob the easiest thing we all do lol! Again, real and honest footage of a good team cracking on whatever comes at them, really reminds me of my firm. Im always worrying but just having that little bit of humour in bad situations makes all the difference. Top man buddy keep them vids coming 👍🏻 all the best,
    Lee

  12. Core a 100mm hole inside of the acco channel, pump a bead of silcone underneath to form a drip and set a 110mm gully bottle trap below. Connect the trap to the drain.

  13. Sorry mate but what your proposing to do is wrong. You can’t put all that ground water in to the combined sewer. You need to get that in writing from the water board. They won’t agree to this. You could dig a shaft on the banking to a large soak away. Make sure your cover your back because the woman at the water board doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

  14. HI Justin
I can see theirs water coming of them their hills lol , no wonder you were swamped with it mate ? were we are mate you cannot but surface water in the drains so we have to use soakaways which causes us major problems because we are land locked , and BC never on any occasion do they let us pal , its a nightmare , but sounds like common sense has prevailed on your job pal , but just shows you mate doing things right and not cutting corners reaps benefits pal , bit different looking job than last week mate ? you've turned it around pal well done you and your lads mate , quality stuff again mate , nice clean job even with the elements pal , lovely to see , keep safe and well pal

  15. Nice one lads. What is it about us brickys getting stressed with the concrete. I am the same stress out then it always works out good. Think it because we know we carnt stop till its in lol👍👍👍
