One thing you should add to your arsenal is a plant guy I can identify every plant in a yard and I if I can't I tried to call one of my buddies or a research it myself but you should learn how to prune on plants when they're done blooming and before they're blooming

california sucks ass you cant do any landscaping over 500 bucks without a contractors license. ive wasted my life with 2 goddam DUIs. I cant be a journeyman for any company to get 4 years experience as a journeyman because of my driving record. i have 4 years experience but as an apprentice with big companies and those four years are basically useless unless its 4 years of journeyman level experience

Do you have any videos for people just trying to start. Someone who doesn't have the dump trucks and such. I only have my SUV. How would you price for a beginner. I get you charge a price for the lawn mowing, but also the man hours.
I've been in the industry for 10 years with Hardscaping.
My old man has been in business for 14 years, his business is definitely on a large scale as of right now. Been working for him since 14 yrs old and am gonna take over when he retires in about 6-8 years.
Does your $100 per yard of much installation cover edging, pulling weeds cleaning out the beds?

Really appreciate the good content. I'm based in the UK and my business provides landscaping & garden design services & landscaping work. Personally I have a background in architecture and a thorough horticultural knowledge. I would say it is important for the landscapers on the ground to have a good knowledge of the plants they are dealing with so they can provide them with the correct care – e.g types of soil treatment to address acid/alkaline need or mineral uptake for the plant, how and when to prune to achieve certain outcomes, correct practice for cleaning pruning equipment between plants as not to spread disease through a garden etc – but they definitely should be able to identifying by sight and name every plant you are working with in order to do this. Great content all the same.

I got a job for 223 cu yards and you said charge $100 per yard?? how do I tell people I’m charging them over 20k to install soil

Keith what’s a good round about to charge to cut down privet hedges from 15 feet down to 3 feet and about 100 feet worth of them .. I’m having a hard time giving a price on this. Thanks
