What is the Best Soil for Container Gardening?

Growing vegetables in containers is often far easier than using beds and native soil because you have complete control over the growing medium. Most vegetables do well in rich soils high in organic matter. We also always add a slow release fertiliser to the pots. Slow release ensures a constant, low dose of nutrients to the veggies which won’t be leached by overwatering or heavy rains. If possible, avoid using native soil as it often contains lots of weed seed.
