  1. I believe unfortunately for Pyrion – that the laws around adverse possession in the UK changed significantly in the last 5-10 years.

  2. Nowadays Jehovahs witnesses don't proselytize door to door much for actual conversion. They know they won't convince anyone, but the church makes them do it anyway so they are exposed to "worldly people" as they refer to anyone not in the cult. Generally "worldy" people are rude to witnesses, and thus reconfirmed in there minds that these people aren't to be making friends with. This was why they feel even more connected to their church's as they see that lots of people don't like them outside of it.

  3. Damn. It’s been a long time since I’ve sat in for a Triforce Podcast. Glad to see my two favorite dads and their prepubescent Lebanese fugitive turned serial killer are still going strong.

  4. Tell your neighbour that the plants are in, so it will take a year, so if they are willing to sign up to an agreement you will move over the coming year (at least over winter plus up to a bit of summer), giving you time to move those plants and them to clean their backgarden and start laying it when it is easier and cheaper to do so.

  5. The reason why they muster wrong is because most people in America don't know what a muster is unless they have been in the military.

  6. Its been a while since I learned real estate (in US) but flax is likely correct that because the fence has been their for so long it is now his property. If I remember this correctly I think the new neighbors could sue the home seller to be refunded on the square footage they loss. Either way still better to have a professional deal look at it, but I don't think their is a need to move the fence.

  7. If the fence has been where it is over 15 years there's no claim from neighbor. They bought the existing property line post-adverse possession. (Also if anyone splits the cost of building a fence with your neighbor it's a good idea to have someone mark the property line so this kind of thing doesn't happen)

  8. If the land is registered, Pyrion will need to apply for the rights to the land. It's not automatic. If he wasn't aware the land wasn't his prior to his neighbour informing him, seeing as he moved in after the fence was constructed and it's been more than 12 years, then he has a solid chance to get the land.

However, typically, since 2003 if the registered owner of the land, ie your neighbour, counter files your claim then the law will usually side with the actual owner. It's tricky and complex and a headache but you have a serious and legitimate claim here. If not at the very least, if you want to avoid that legal claiming bullshit, you should be compensated by the neighbour for your costs or he can go fuck himself.

  9. Change it if they are willing to foot the bill…? You shouldn't have to pay to fix your garden after this or move the fence. Seems fair enough that way
