Hi Mel, great waffle as always. I think the person who wanted to use their sim card in a Huawei router would be fine to do so. The phone will still connect to the router via wifi when the sim is in the router so running the set-up app on the phone should be OK. Great tip about the lead for the Karcher window cleaner, must get one.

Your advice on painting vans sounds exactly like the advice the mate who helped me with mine gave me. As he once worked in a spray booth doing two jobs a day for insurance companies, he definitely knows what he's talking about.
One other tip he gave me – especially for older vans – is to use chlorinated rubber (swimming pool paint), both under the wheel arches and for the bodywork. After raising an eyebrow (or two!) when he first mentioned it, I'm an absolute convert. We got the cab down to bare metal, and gave it several coats of white chlorinated rubber, to replace the multilayered mess that was previously there. It now has a silky white finish, and (being rubber), rain simply beads and runs off.
Oh, and the best thing? Chlorinated rubber is £7.95+VAT/litre, or it was when I bought it.

Hi Mel, quick question 🤣 I've seen a YouTube video of a guy with a diesel heater standing upright in the rear cubby box in a Land Rover Discovery 2. The exhaust is piped outside through the bodyshell but I'm wondering if it would work properly standing upright rather than laid flat like yours. Thanks for the incredible videos 👍

I listened to a USA podcast on "winterising" a van IE: not charging batteries below freezing including solar charging, antifreeze in toilets, etc etc maybe you could do a video on the same stuff, not a problem in Australia but could be of interest to your viewers.
