This video I talk about how I am overwintering tender plants in my own UK tropical style garden. Overwintering tropical plants in a tropical style garden is an important part of the yearly process.
No gardener can avoid the cold weather of winter, at least not here in the UK.
In this video I talk about overwintering two types of plants outdoors without a heated greenhouse. I utilise warm microclimate and mulch to protect tender roots from penetrating cold weather. Overwintering plants doesn’t need to be hard, though the thought of losing money that you spent on these precious plants can be quite stressful.
I always recommend taking cuttings as a backup option for when you are overwintering plants outdoors.
