Havre to admit, no matter how hard I keep my nose to the grindstone, it just feels like a never-ending up hill battle. I feel like Sisyphus. Hard to become completely blackpilled. I Will keep pressing forward, but one thing I have to disagree about is that we can't cast blame – so many of these issues didn't need to be, and many are intentionally manufactured, and until they're held accountable, the storm will not clear
A person can't be "in denial of whats coming next" because people can't know whats coming next. However,… A person CAN be disillusioned to THINK they know whats coming next…. Now THAT is a mental illness…..
Prepping to me is common sense – we don't have health insurance and home or rental insurance or even car insurance because 365 days a year we don't need it for years but because there's that one day where we're going to need it and need it badly. We don't want that day to come and we hope that it never comes. If /when it does come, we need to make sure that we and our families are well taken care of and that we have sufficient insurance to cover our needs. Prepping is an extension of covering those needs. My dad nick named his basement "the magic basement." It was a hodgepodge of boxes and stuff by most standards. He's been gone almost 20 years now. I'm still using tools and other items from the magic basement as I work to create as much security for myself and my family as I can.

I had a dream about 2 years ago. In the dream, Walmart was going out of business but the food was inaccessible. I never thought Walmart would be having financial difficulties.
At times I worry, but continue to prep. At least my husband understands now and this has taken the pressure off a bit. Thank You.

It started for me with my dad. I tell me family. Do you want to hear the screams of your starving children? So start preparing.
As a Christian I see tribulation coming. I appreciate that many see the signs of disaster and try to prepare, but If God is in control and IF Bible is correct… Then shouldn't We prepare our souls? I'm also a pretrib Rapture believer, so The 6 months of food I have around the house will be for those who have to go thru tribulation, not for me. If I'm wrong and Athiest are correct then I honestly hope that I die quickly because I'm older and the young folks should use what's left to survive. I try to not stress out either way… that's not denial because I do have some stored food.. I do have other prep items, but I can't wake up everyday worried.
I agree. Most people are in denial. It is easier for them to deny the present therefore there is no need to prepare for the Inevitable future.
Those that arent prepared will die. Its that simple
the first rule of survival is to DO something. You can choose to sit around and woe is me or you can choose to DO something no matter how small it might be youre DOING something. In a survival situation the man who doesn't do anything is the one who will die because he has lost hope. Trust in God and DO something. He will provide, but not without action.
I think a lot of us are acting in denial out of frustration for not having the means to prepare … when you can't do anything about it due to lack of money, you have to do something to keep from going crazy, You have to rebalance your energies To keep from sliding into the deep depression hole

I am more concerned about Chinese invasion than Russia nuke . This won’t happen until we are disarmed.
I believe this is the reason why they want our firearms.

They have been training in Canada since 2017 and are well entrenched in North America.
China will not allow Russia to nuke us .

Biden misused the monies. He should have created a permanent works progress administration people could then b paid to repair n replace infrastructure instead of putting it toward electric vehicles. Burnout Biden blew it. We need roads repaired bridges replaced. Electric lines and transformers sewage and water lines inspected n if need be replaced.

I just had my first "I told you so" moment as a new prepper. A relative in Europe was told they'll have rolling blackouts but keep it under wraps so as not to panic everyone else. My dad is skeptical about the secrecy – how could an entire country lose power? I told him it isn't a secret, it's been widely reported for months. People have been warned of a dark winter since summer. Showed him all the news coverage you see with a 2 second Google/Youtube search.
I feel like a conspiracy nut trying to convince people about something I thought was blatantly obvious. These people have good access to information – why would they think a major energy supplier going to war isn't going affect all of us??
We live somewhere warm so winter isn't a problem. You know what would be if power goes out? Water, sanitation, and cooling in 100F/40C plus temps. We'd still be screwed.

Most people do not believe what's coming even in 6 months. My adult kids say they can't think about these things, it's too depressing. I think most people are in denial, particularly to the degree of price increases and shortages coming.
Some preppers strongly recommend people start with sanitation before anything else because if there is any sort of problem with electricity for more than a couple of weeks or so, toilets might start causing problems. Because of the easy spread of germs from lack of water, it's more important than food. OK, maybe having enough drinking water comes 1st, but a bucket, bags and kitty litter is right behind.

The Reality is – thousands upon thousands are pouring across the border. They will be needing shelter, food, etc – and will TAKE IT, simply because they don't know our laws – or care. We are about to be in a food shortage/crisis scenario. This will be a Nation wide crisis. They will just take what they need or want, because they can. Reality. That is what is coming. Work with your neighbors, build a foundation. Like them or not, we all have to work together in order to survive this one. Stand strong. Be safe. Just saying.
