I’ve always wanted one and now I have my hands on my very own Ensete ventricosum maurellii. Eeek! However sub zero temperatures are coming and I need to get this plant prepared for over wintering which is what I cover in this video. Well… Good luck over wintering the banana tree… I my self was born and grew up in Indonesia and sure enough missed this kind of fruit trees which is… in Indonesia… grow like, and often treated like weeds but… in Europe… I am giving up growing them… even the Musa Basjoo… and leave it to the botanical garden as, private cost only money and works… 💝
Unfortunately winter has set in here in Wa State USA. I dont heat my greenhouse, and we just had a cold snap down to -15C ! I lost everything with top growth except a few herbs. My Rosemary, Tarragon, and Oregano didn't seem to mind being frozen.
I'm hoping the Elephant Garlic survived, I recently planted it, no top growth yet.
