  1. Those look like cabbage loopers & their poop. There was one on one of the cabbages you filmed. It's a green worm. You can take them off or spray some BT.

  2. I was about to say, that pest poop. I'm in TN too but my containers are ok. The warm weather are making your broccoli go to flower. Brassicas like the cool. The insects are confused too!!!

  3. When you touched one of your cabbages, I saw a green worm. Those droppings are cabbage loopers/green caterpillars. They are eating your brassica plants and pooping on them.

I live in planting zone 7b. It has been raining 3 to 4 times a week for close to 2 weeks. Because we’ve had 12 to 14 days of high temperatures reaching in sixties and seventies and lows in mid-forties to low sixties, some insects have returned. Later this week, temperature morning lows forecast is below freezing from Saturday through Monday. That will stop insects again.

This morning I noticed a few wholes in some of my cabbage leaves that I think were caused by slugs. I saw poop on top of a stone near one of my broccoli plants, I immediately dusted them and cabbages with food grade diatomaceous earth (DE). I used BT last year and it did not work as well as DE.

  4. You have a caterpillar and you just touched it! I saw it! Those are droppings! It’s hard to fight them when it’s raining so much but just look all over the plant for them! But BT will help but you will have to use it everyday until you get this under control!

  5. It’s been raining a lot here in North Alabama 7B too. I been fighting Aphids. They don’t die! 😒😒😒 I’ve heard seasoned gardeners say planting leeks, onions and garlic with your brassicas to help with pest pressure! Don’t get discouraged! It will be ok! Use that BT and it will be fine! Try again next year! Blessings 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

  6. I was screaming at the TV! Barbara the worm Barbara the worm! It's on the Cabbage 🤣🤣🤣 I hope you caught him. The garden looks great to 🤗

  7. You don’t see that worm on the first cabbage you need to spray or use Hi yield or some seven dust it’s bad hun I’m in Mississippi

  8. Hi Barbara!! It’s a worm. One fell down when you moved the leaf & I think one was on another plant!! I hate those things. Also there are some little black ones that will do that also. That’s what I’ve found on my brassicas🤦🏾‍♀️

  9. Just watched the video, food grade diatomaceous earth may help get rid of the worms as it will cut them up

  10. Hi! You have Cabbage Loopers, BT will take care of them, just follow the directions on the bottle it'll take care of em 😊 Blessings my sister!

  11. Hey Qween I'm in Southaven Ms. That look like 🐌 are eating your cabbage . I had the 🐜 I can't stand them.

  12. I’m in Southern Indiana where it rains more than in Seattle and that’s why I have to find veggies that can handle the immense heat and rain.

  13. It's caterpillar poop. Cabbage worms are the same color of the cabbage so they're hard to find. BT spray will help. Hope you save your cabbage.
