I've not yet tried a crockpot mac'n cheese. My mama passed over 20 years ago- but her mac'n cheese was/is epic. She used sharp/extra sharp Pinconning or Frankenmuth cheese. I can't find either in store- so will have to use extra sharp cheddar. Has to be shredded Block cheese- not bagged shredded cheese with anti-cake additives that prevent it from melting into a smooth sauce.
