Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Asgardian forces prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world. Along the way they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters. The threat of Ragnarök grows ever closer. Kratos and Atreus must choose between their own safety and the safety of the realms. 1. Heimdall pressed the Atreus button. He shouldna done did that. Never press the Atreus button.

  2. 22:53 I know you are not big in swordfighting Jessy, but as a rule of thumb, if you have a choice to wear one piece of armour you wear helmet every single time.

  3. 1:12:40 I know Jirard loves the rage but looking at the damage it does and the health he gets back I think it’s a really bad choice for his build, I can only guess as I didn’t design the game and we can look at the code but I’m guessing the spartan Rage only counts your attack not the damage you do based on Defence so it’s doing almost nothing as the stat is so low.

I think it would probably be better to swap to Valour and just use your rage as a heal, but they have probably finished the game by the time I’m writing this so it dosnt really matter much.

  4. The thing Birgir is saying before jumping off to kill the Wyvern is from Hávamál (which is basically is a collection of Odin's wisdoms, and advice in how you should conduct yourself in life) that has the gist of "everything will die, but your deeds will be remembered"

  5. love how heimdall said kratos would not decide heimdalls fate, heimdall chose to get his ass beaten as much as kratos choices led him to have to beat his ass.

  6. Does anyone else have anxiety every time Atreus goes first through small spaces and runs ahead?!? I am terrified something is going to grab him. Which is telling of the good writing to pull that much empathy

  7. I love the whole Heimdall scene, except for one detail: if they wanted us to feel dread that Kratos was falling back into his old god-killing habits, they should’ve made it so Kratos was more brutal than simply strangling Heimdall. Compared to Poseidon or Helios, Heimdall got off easy (exploded arm notwithstanding).

  8. Scott Porter was amazing as Heimdall, he made me want to just kick the shit out of him over and over until I break my foot off.😂😂Also I felt EXACTLY like Kratos did when he fought Heimdall, I loved beating the shit out of him, wanting to spare him to break fate, whooping his ass again to squash that overinflated ego, strangling him because he threatened Atreus, and then going immediately from being happy he is dead to immediately regretting it because Kratos became a monster again.

And then to top it all off we go into an Uncharted style chase through the forest!

  9. Does this game have an end? Will there be another SGS series? What about Faith 3 and the new Dark Pictures game?

  10. Deyr fe

    Deyja frändr

    Deyr sjálfr it sama.

Ek veit einn at aldri deyr

    Dómr vm dauđan hvern

My best guess at a translation, based on Swedish and what little I know of the other nordic languages:

    Dead Creatures
    Dead Friends
I die the same("die self the same" in literal translation)
I know one that never dies
The judgement of who dies("Judgement about death who" in literal translation)

  11. Remember when Kratos faced Thor at the start and Thor said "This feels familiar" maybe he already faced someone wielding the Leviathan Axe so Faye fighting Thor in Vanaheim could be a possibility.

  12. 19:33
Nè = Neither (One way or the either)
Einn = One (Or alone, but one I think in this case)
    Mun = ?
Gera = make or act, also do
sát = to sit, but sitja fyrir could be to stand by
mér = me (Like, come to me)

Sounds like she said… "No one wants to sit/stand with me" maybe? That's kind of sad.

allfaðir leiðir geð mitt = Allfather is with me!

  13. Not sure if they figured out the poem or not but I think its referring to The Order: 1886 or whatever it is. Where you're in steam punk London with the Knights.

  14. 1:16:40
i like how they opened the menu to see the emblem of the nine realms, and jirards response was 'oh thats the slow down time move, we don't have that'
except the act of opening the menu actually skipped the second popup showing them they got the realm shift relic at the same time.

  15. 1:16:35 this is a really weird comment, I know, see those plants? Those are real world plants known as Sarracenia chopped so only their top portion is visible. These are carnivorous plants and those are just how their leaves are structured. Their common name is the trumpet pitcher. It really tickles my fancy to see them in pop culture like this.

  16. 19:34 written as is, Google is translating this as "Not one will make peace for me."
Letting it correct spelling in Icelandic (Né neinn mun Gera sá fyrir mér) it translates instead to "Nor will anyone do that for me"

  17. I woke up to see the notification of the new video this morning and it was the best! And this was just under 2hrs again, Jesse you’re spoiling us! So much awesome story in this episode!

  18. Mimir: Prophecy holds that Gjallarhorn is the herald of Ragnarok… Whatever it does
Atreus: I read about it in Odin's Library. Supposedly, it's this really strong rocket launcher and is a requirement to LFG some raids

  19. God, that alpha wolf boss took me at least half a dozen tries to beat him on GmGoW mode and Jirard just destroys him on his first try. I never used the stienbjorn armor but it is so OP with that poison build. I did not even realize that you can awaken the trolls until postgame cleanup.

  20. The Kavasir's poem you found at the end is a reference to The Order: 1886. It's all about an organization hunting werewolves with firearms, after all.

  21. The meetup with Hildisvindi has a moment that is easily glossed over.
When it is clear who he is, Kratos immediately steps in to protect Atreus; stating the arrow was shot at his command.
But then Atreus steps up to take responsibility for his own actions right after; his arrow, his mistake.

The Heimdall fight is very nicely choreographed too.
Notice the first time Kratos stuns him to get in close, he swings really wide. Much wider than you'd expect him to do really.
The second time he's coming in closer and more directed, forcing Hemidall to block.
The third time Kratos comes in close and FAST. He's dialed down into not just the motion but also the speed with which he has to overwhelm Heimdall.

Being able to predict where the punches are coming from means nothing if you can't move fast enough to avoid them…

  22. Not sure if anyone cares, but Brok's riddle, "What gets bigger the more you take away?" is a classic riddle that's been around a long time. If anyone wants the answer:

    It's "a hole".
