Movie by expert organic gardener Peter Kearney of www.cityfoodgrowers.com.au on how to use a slope in the most efficient and cost effective way to build a productive and beautiful organic vegetable garden
You say and show all the things my husband and I who live on a west facing down slope realize have been our disadvantage for 14 years of hardship. We always grow an abundance but it is never easy nor does it become intuitive as every move makes a dramatic and complicated difference. Do you have any recommendations..we fight intense heat coupled with unpredictable frosts and have tried raised beds, terraces, mountains of soil to face east with a downward slope but think there must be ways to do this in order rather than hope and prayer. Any sites you would recommend watching? So much of what you say is so helpful.

As you noted the amount of sun you can get on a proper facing slope is incredible!

My plan is to even out the slope with horse poo and bales of hey. What do you think?
