I am 76. I was a late starter, starting to play at 50. I got down to an 11 handicap at my lowest.
What I love about it is that I can play with or against men, women, juniors because of the handicap system. I don't think there is any other sport where that is the case.
The best match I ever played was a mixed greensomes. We halved the match but both sides scored net 63 against the course.
Sky’s coverage of women’s golf has improved – but the number of times one switches on… only to discover that the men’s event is over-running… So the two hour slot allocated to the women’s game is halved – or even wiped out altogether. It’s infuriating. And I know many men who watch the women’s golf because they find their game more comparable to their own…
Sky Sports golf YouTube has given the LET tour and the LPGA tour more coverage this has been shown by the dramatic increase in the 2023 prize money. Let's hope it continues and the ladies game gets the coverage it deserves
It was great to finally get to see much more of the women’s golf tournaments via the sky youtube channel. More of this next year please.
Womens golf is nothing new. They have played the game since it started.
I watched this last night on Sky Sports Golf and I really enjoyed the program, learned a lot from it and this is my second time viewing it. Sky have really improved their women's coverage and hope they will be able to show more in the years to come with the LET & LPGA. I hope this kickstarts golf clubs to change their prehistoric philosophies. I'd happily play alongside any women's players. Golf can be for everyone and should be for everyone.

was never mysoginistic, was just keeping the peace, young female singletons took the hit.
If golf associations and clubs commit to organising tournaments open to all golfers and played off various tee boxes and based on handicap index, golf will become more inclusive and advance to new levels. It will be the only major sport that does not separate men and women!
