Spring Vegetable Gardening in Jacksonville, Florida FREE Seminar!

This event will be hosted by Matt Barlow, the Earth Works Garden Center manager at their Jacksonville, Florida location 12501 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32246. Barlow will discuss regional soil conditions and ecology along with making recommendations for soil preparation and soil amendments for raised bed “veggie box” vegetable cultivation. Bring your questions for Barlow who has a wealth of knowledge and practical experience as a grower himself.

March and April is a great time in Jacksonville and surrounding North Florida areas to begin planting warm-season crops including beans, tomatoes, squash, and corn for harvest in late Spring. Chard, okra, peas, cucumber, watermelon, and sweet potatoes can wait until the warmer climate conditions of May arrive for optimum growing conditions. Earth Works stocks both vegetable seedlings and seeds and can assist you throughout the growing season get the most from your vegetable garden.
