    If you which what your doing you are wiring a electric circuit is safe every once in a while you will have to work on a live circuit.

    Great video. Great book. Years ago I bought electric 1-2-3. I think I’ll upgrade to the book. Every homeowner that doesn’t like spending tons of $ on electricians should know this stuff, it’s not hard at all and if you shut the power off you’ve got almost nothing to fear. Thank you handyman.

    The Handyman turns off the power to work on the light connection then does the handyman shimmy to reposition the ladder he’s standing on. 😂 Classic!

    My dad was an electrician, which made me his wire monkey until I was old enough to get a 'real job'. I've had to lick my fingers just as dad showed me. When I asked if there was another method he said when I grew up I could just lick the wires. His favorite comment was always when I was on a ladder working on a fixture… He'd say 'Hold on to your screwdriver while I borrow your ladder.' I've always wondered why every electrician I've known had a nervous tick.
