  1. i personally loved the old style. there was more space and it was so simple. i felt like there was too much going on after the makeover. love the nook though!

  2. That turned out so beautiful and warm. And can I just say? Everybody needs a Graham in their life, he is amazing

  3. This is what I want to do!!! Except I want to keep my beautiful jungle green wall. It's such a pretty color. Vine Leaf by Behr.

  4. I'm a huge fan of studio mcgee and been following them for a while. When I first saw this I had my doubts because her style is not easy to achieve on a budget. But this looks really nice! I wouldn't say it's exactly studio mcgee style but it had the touches and it looks great!

  5. We see you James stepping up your game! Great editing, DIYing and overall a fantastic job from the whole team, I love Studio MsGee style and this nailed it!

  6. It's great when you know how to properly use your resources to make the most of every square centimeter in terms of style and functionality. Right now we are making major changes to our apartment and I think we can take our interior decor project to the next level by making the right choices. We just purchased a Ducaroy Loveseat Maya Boucle from Manhattan Home Design and we want it to be the first of several major changes. Thank you so much for sharing this experience in detail! <3

  7. So enjoyed today's video. Love that wallpaper and arch…..just wow!! Look forward to 2023 with you and the AG team. Debbie

  8. You should put a frame around the tv so it looks like piece of at ❤ love the original lamps way better the the new side lamps 🤨

  9. Absolutely love your makeovers, but read up on Feng Shui and mirrors reflecting you in bed.

  10. I'm surprised she didn't wallpaper the inside of the arch! I wouldn't want it to stick out like it is w/ the paint

  11. Merry Christmas and a prosper 2023 for Alexandra and crew and all the fellow subscribers around the world.

  12. I can’t believe the side table fits in this space. My only criticism is that I wish you had done something over the two bookcases. Either some cool prints or small floating shelves or hanging plants, something along those lines. Other than that great job!

  13. Loved this make over… really, BUT… I can’t believe you didn’t patch those holes in the wall before wallpapering over it. AGH!! Why??? 😫

  14. OMG I would have loved to see that nook as a built in library. I'm thinking you could have created a barn door above it that could slide infornt of one of the closets and mount the tv on the Door. This way she could have her TV in the center when the door is closed or open the barn door to reveal her library behind it. If you go a step further you can get a wall paper with a library background so that when the door is open it looks like an extension of the library nook. Making her Beaty and the Beast Library a reality.

  15. The wallpapered desk nook with arch is glorious!!!!!!!! ❤🤩❤And I love that they gave her a version of the mirror she'd been admiring (perfect spot for it!), plus a carpet that really ties the room together. ; – ) I actually also truly loved Seyna's Before decor so much!! She has mad talent as an interior designer herself! The lovely calm palette and the proportions and layout were absolutely beautiful to me. I especially loved the way her white upholstered headboard gave a strong color block contrast to the blue wall yet still looked so soft and inviting; the color, size, and placement of her inviting looking couch; how the sideways bookshelf gave a pop of color while subtly unifying the space with that strong horizontal line; and the eye-candy sculptural effect of her lamps and globe backlit by the window. Just gorgeous! She has an artist's eye!!! 🎨❤🖌

I would love to see a version of this space with more neutral, calming bedside tables or floating shelves and cozier-looking bedside lamps or sconces since even as a major book lover (I have over a thousand in my living room right now!) so many books and those hard-edged metal lamps in a sleeping space are a bit intense for me. But I love that they gave her the chance to live with the dark-painted bookshelves she'd been admiring photos of, plus more functional horizontal shelves(!), and a TON of new storage space.

It would also be cool to see how lightweight white curtains with a sparse, subtle print would look over or in place of the white closet doors on either side of the arched nook, but perhaps that would be too much given her minimalist aesthetic. ; – D

It's so interesting to see how someone interprets a space in a new way, and I hope Seyna is enjoying her new home!
