It's nice to help out at the food cashier but some people need to know it's OK to accept a bit of a helping hand. For a lot of families, it's going to be a tough winter especially the European families with heating their homes.

TOO MANY REGULATIONS! If you plant 'staggered' then you have to move your irrigation system!
I stake up White Pines when they need it. Sometime I tie a branch around others to form a new central leader. Then trim back the others. After watching the dear eat the fresh spring growth, I started hanging soap. I even hang it around the yard on any other tree that I don't want a buck rub. They will destroy even medium trees. If the ground is soft, they push them over in the process.
Government is way too intrusive

Boy, such a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw from, it sounds like for the most part he was satisfied with your operation, I understand the lag time involved, but have you started implementing the hints he left you, the staking of the problem trees?, I know you have a while before you have to worry about cones, I never knew they were that big a problem.
