  1. Great score!!! I've been lucky at yard sales. But, never any FREE ones. Not yet anyway. Happy New Year!

  2. what a GT gift from a friend and the best bit just what you can use can't wait to see more 🐞🐝😁👍

  3. You are absolutely right!!! My coworkers are phenomenal!!! They've shared 1/2 gallon cartons, coffee grounds, egg shells and all types of creative growing containers!!

  4. We have a recycle center that I am going to call and ask if they give any containers away. You have inspired me to hunt every where. : )

  5. How lovely for you !! you are so right about asking around, our community is our most undervalued resource.

  6. My son works in a restaurant and brings home 5 gal buckets for me, imagine 5 gallons of cold slaw, lol, not homemade at all. He also brings home vegetable cuttings, egg shells, coffee grounds, etc… all that would get thrown away!

  7. Awesome Find! Well……. I am thinking you have idea what you want to grow in them already!!! smiles
At this time, I am all 2L pop bottles, and Cat Litter Jugs!

  8. I can't grow anything in containers. The plants just die out. I've watched and listened to so many people and even read books but I just can't get the knack of it. I've tried peas, pepper, tomatoes, well you name it. If I plant in the ground they grow like crazy.

  9. Good deal The weather here in Idaho is so bad I think it is time to get the ws containers filled with soil. That should put me in a Happy New Year mood. Happy 2017

  10. Thanks for your videos! I live in northern Ohio too and I'm really excited to try winter sowing this year! Question – instead of using lots of small containers, is there any reason you wouldn't just use one very large, clear storage container? As long as I drilled holes for draining and in the lid?

  11. Restaurants are full of food grade buckets they just throw away! All you have to do is ask most places will give you them for free and you can use the lids for drainage pans.

  12. wow awesome video. sometimes I go to Sam's Club to the bakery department they're always willing to give away free buckets 5 gallon and 3 gallon which is great for growing herbs and tomatoes in

  13. This summer I "inherited" a bunch of large kitty litter jugs!!! Am gonna try these next time for WS.
