Seems like the kale is coming in slow. A lot of folks don't know much about kale but I used eat it a lot as a kid. When folks see it cooked, they think it's spinach until they taste it and aren't ready for the slightly bitter-bite taste compared to mild tasting spinach. Nice spread of veggies. Marigolds do ward off certain bugs but they didn't work for us every year. The deer did not mess with marigolds but they did enjoy the wife's tasty flowers (she was not happy). You're right about taste of homegrown tomatoes. Enjoyed a full-watch. Have a fine upcoming weekend.

Hi Nell! You have a very nice veggie garden! Nice variety! I am really considering starting one, but it gets really hot here in TX & I'm afraid nothing will do well in the direct sun with our temps reaching in the 100's during the summer.
