  1. I know it's hard sometimes especially when you fall out of love with them. I always try to save mine but my collection is not as big as Yours so I could imagine it gets a little overwhelming sometimes. If you have the time & space I would chop & propagate them keep the best cutting for yourself of the ones you fall in love again & give the rest away as a giveaway on your channel ☺️. Sometimes when we bring them back to life we fall in love with our plants all over again 🥰

  2. I am in the UK London based & will pay for postage or can meet up locally. I am willing to pay for the monstera Peru, scindapus officinlis & philodendron if you are really looking to get rid 👍🏾

  3. could repot the maranta into noot soiless potting mix, then trim , and tie it up to a bamboo stake, chefs kiss!

  4. cut the melano and make a bush out of it? like what you did with the tetraspera. They'll just look like big climbing micans.

  5. We can't know wich plants will be a good fit for us until we try them, I discovered that most Calatheas are not worth the care required for me.
I have about 150 plants and i want to reduce to under 100 before the summer because i can't keep up with watering . I gave away quite a few already and it made me feel so much better, i have more space and time for plants that actually bring me joy.
I have a few Jewel Orchids (mostly Macodes Petola) and i have them in an aroid mix+a bit of sphagnum moss. I don't let them dry out and keep them in a greenhouse cabinet or under a glass dome, in a medium light area.
Melanos are a pain for me too, i would not buy them again. Splendid is so much easier to take care of, puts new leaves constantly and doesn't rip out any of them.

  6. I feel sorry that you have lost interest in those plants, I feel all plants are worth saving, but that’s me, I can’t bare to throw them out. I felt guilty throwing out my happy plant that wasn’t “happy”. Never mind, we all have to make our own choices.

  7. I trade lots of cuttings from cabinets that are placed in people's front yards, and because trading is free, I often end up taking plants home that I don't really really want. Some of those plants I love, but some I end up hating, so I feel you Emma.

  8. Monstera Peru – like?! Why do they do what they do?! I just don’t understand, it’s so annoying 😂 I’m struggling with mine too

  9. There will always be those plant people that hate the idea of throwing plants away or whatever, but I think that more and more of us that started our major plant collecting around 2019 and 2020 are at the point where we all have so many plants that you either survive or YOU'RE KICKED OFF THE ISLAND!😅 we aren't botanical gardens that are trying to preserve anything right? So as long as it's not an uncommon plant that's in decent condition that I feel comfortable giving away or selling, it's going in THE TRASH😄 not worth the stress!!

  10. Love seeing the reality of plant care and ownership. I also fall in and out of love/care of plants! None in particular, just ebbs and flows

  11. I would love the meanochrysum! I am in the US, so if that's possible….☺️. Your videos are so fun, even when the plants are falling out of their pots #orchiddrama 😆

  12. As you mentioned jewel orchid…i am struggling with them so much.. I took the last 3 pieces into pine bark, watering every week (not to get totally dry), it seems ok now.. same with marantha, i love both, but ahh.. they need so much light and does not like to be totally dry too- but still produces tiny leafs😂 they are getting better or they are just diing slowly, i am not sure 😀 … syngo prefers high humidity and to be watered regularly, not to be dry, and loves high light, as far as i experienced. and with melano, it is the same, it struggles because too much/less water, low humidity, pests, too much sun/sunburn, everything, literally 😀
yes, they are very sensitive 😅 so really thank you for sharing these, it made my heart so much lighter, i always stressing, that i am a bad plant parent :((

  13. Emma !!! Love watching your videos Im a new plant addict and guess what Im in London !! 😊 I would be happy to take the risk ❤❤❤ l’d be very grateful for the monstera peru and the pink syngonium .. thanks !! 💝💝

  14. I LOVE this video so much and can relate on all the levels! We are human, we fall in and out of liking/loving things, including plants and nothing is wrong with that. Thank you for always being so candid and sharing the real life of being a plant parent!
