  1. I was a head nurse in a personal care; assisted living and I had 86residents to care for and I passed meds;did all the book work;all the orders;change meds;count and change over; all by myself! They only have 6patients! Shame on them! Barb from Penna,

  2. This is a very depressing channel, Can't even set aside this stuff for the holiday season. Where is Jesus in all of this. Peace outta here.

  3. Did you ever see the dancing nurse and doc videos? This has been a big production. I met a nurse who told she was laid off at the start of covi. They brought in foriegn nurses.

  4. Exactly same situation in UK. Nurses, paramedics, doctors, postal workers, train drivers, buses, driving test examiner’s, coffin makers, boarder control….. I’ve probably missed some but this is bad. With the economy collapsing already this is going to make things a lot worse. We are all facing the crisis. I don’t know how this will get solved. Some people will get their pay rise, I’m not saying they don’t deserve it. I just wonder where this extra money will come from.

  5. Your first question resonated with me. In 2020 everyone celebrated the heroes and essential workers. They were happy to clap and say thank you while they got their free checks and got to have 5 pool parties a week. Now everyone has to go back to work, there is no free stimmies, and we can't afford gifts for Christmas. So now everyone is back to work, the heroes and essential workers are working more than ever and they are frustrated. When everyone is struggling they don't have the desire to celebrate heroes and essential workers

  6. We're all screwed my dad's got toothache he's not had any assistance prior to Christmas and he stands no chance now . I had an astmah attack I called the doctors way back in November and oh no nothing can be done. I carried on battling for 3 weeks and in the end I had to call an ambulance what a waste of their services the doctors could have helped. They didn't see my 4 year old either and he had a temp of 38.2 at one point. Dealt with it all myself even whilst I was really ill. I thankfully bought my own nebuliser and saline back in October and I bought as much medical guff as I could afford at that point all to prep. Seriously glad I did.i think it saved a whole world of extra hassle. I know their will be millions suffering far more greatly than I on both sides of the coin however. And I'm grateful for my health and my son. Only tip is of corse prep. And keep hydrated with lots of water because it's cold and you'll be wearing extra clothes and being in heating your moving around and not realising how much fluids your losing so please do one simple free thing and drink your water. Times are crazy

  7. Maybe if we were not shipping hundreds of billions out of the Country. Inflation would not be so bad. If inflation was not driving the price of most things, out of sight. Maybe not so many people would be demanding a raise. In short, all of this comes from D.C. Maybe if this administration. Did not put the whole world first. And their own citizens last. None of this would be happening.

  8. I just subbed to your channel…. I love everything you have been speaking about…. it's the truth and what people need to hear…… keep doing your thing girl. …

  9. I live in Rochester,NY and I'm not surprised to New York and now you gonna have to be your own doctor's and your own nurses just in case if the doctor's and nurses are not able to help you and that's what I'm going do is stocking up hospitals supplies in my home just in case if I don't make it to hospitals or the doctor's and nurses will not be available to help me at least I'll have something to fix my opens womb and anything I can do at home, and you can help others people's and cause hospitals will not be available to help you and others people's and stock up your hospitals supplies in your home just in case if your not gonna able to make it through hospitals or doctor's and nurses will not gonna be there for you, in people New York state please stock up your hospitals supplies in your home while you can before it's too late

  10. I stopped depending on Dr’s ,hospitals and medicines over four years ago and turned to herbal teas.

  11. Tommy, the nursing shortage is bad, people have no idea how bad it is. I am working as hospice nurse, cover at least 8 counties. Our hospice case manager nurses are working 16 hour days, paid for 8 because they are salaried. They will be given an admission at 4, meet with family, then go home and do 4 hours of admission paper work free. They also have other paperwork to do after that. I do the after hour visits, On Call, but I don't put in my hours charting afterwards because it isn't authorized ahead of time. Last weekend I worked 20 hours straight, went home slept for a couple hours, then went out and worked another 16 hours. I was told the administrator on call said I was to go help the nurse coming on but when I turned in my hours i was told it wasn't authorized. We are to have 3 nurses on plus two back up and administrator. I had one/me and administrator. My friends who work in ER are spit on, yelled at, etc because of understaffing. There are no meds, no beds, etc. Nurses are quitting. The older nurses who worked 60 hrs week are retiring and newer nurses are quitting for easier jobs. I know some who took labor jobs, said it was easier job.
As far as meds, there is a problem which will only get worse. I had to call 15 pharmacies to get Tylenol suppositories for dying patient. I couldn't find morphine for dying patients. While stocking up on antibiotics seems like ideal, if you don't know which antibiotic treats what, how much to give, you will do more damage than good thru antibiotic resistance, organ failure and maybe CDiff. Certain antibiotics work on gram negative, some on gram positive, etc. Antibiotics aren't effective for viruses. There is a place called Jace Medical, they give instructions on when and how much to use. Get a book from Dr Alton and Amy Alton which will tell you how to treat certain things. It is The Survival Medicine Handbook. It is the best book I have seen. They have two, you want to get the more expensive one vmbecause it tells you what to do for traumas until help gets there, how to treat common illnesses at home, etc.

  12. I SUPPORT MY NURSES!!!
It's a disgusting shame that this country doesn't pay and properly support teachers, medical, and others considered "little people" that has proven over time…as lately the pandemic……they make the country, industries work.

    PAY THEM NOW!!!

  13. No nurses. No care. Nurses run the medical field. They are the hands on. Without them nothing happens. .

  14. Praying for Our Nation & upon all people in General, lord we cannot do this Without you please show yourself strong in Jesus Christ Name Amen.

  15. Felt like leaving my badge on the manager's closed door as I left work today since my co-workers didn't come due to the weather. Came an hour early, stayed 2 hours late, no appreciation for my labors. I don't blame any nurses for striking for better conditions for both themselves and their patients.

  16. Walmart, completely wiped out of electric heaters, and gloves.
Lady said gloves were all gone on Wednesday.
No powdered milk ,all gone, noodles all gone, rice was also all gone.
Eggs were limited to 1 .
    Milk was almost expired.

  17. I feel bad for over worked nurses but we really need their services Burn out is real Thankfully I have no on going illness Without lots of medical visits

  18. Nursing is not what it use to be. Worked 30 plus years. Over worked an under paid. Had to medically retire. No respect for the long hours worked. Hospitals keep kicking the can down the road. Most places of work when a storm is coming closes down and staff go home. With health care, you pack a bag and go to work not knowing when you will get to go back home. This has been happening for years. Nurses have had enough and calling it quits.

  19. Meanwhile, the Corporate C.E.O.s and their cronies beneath them make anywhere from $3-$20+ million per year. Yet they refuse to warrant justification to hire any more staff than they have to as it cuts into their bottom line. I worked for nine different companies over a 36 year period and watched nearly every hospital, medical clinic, radiology facility and groups of physicians go corporate. It's all about the money. Nobody in the medical field (front lines) will ever make that stellar work evaluation to earn a decent raise. I gave up and quit as my coworkers and I could NEVER perform well enough in the eyes of our supervisors. Patients regularly phoned or confronted us infuriated with various issues and many with valid/legitimate reasons. Where is the incentive to stay?

  20. REMEMBER THERE IS NONE IN THE HOSTPITAL THE NURSES ARE ALL DOING DANCING IN THE HALLWAYS NO ONE IS IN THE HOSPITAL—WHO WANTS A RESPIRATOR DOWN THRIR THROAT TO KILL THEM

  21. They are going to strike. They always have the military to back them up so they will have to do like they are doing in the UK. Have the military do all the civilians jobs.

  22. As a retired nurse with 44 years bedside nursing experience, I have always had mixed feelings about nurses striking. I have never been in a union. According to the clip shown, they are not interested in a pay raise. They *only request more staff. Without knowing what the hospitals' budgets are, the number of applicants and the number of potential losses of staff, it's hard for us, the "outsiders", to know what is best/available to them. In *my opinion, if their only concern is safe patient care (and I am 100% for that), I don't see how walking out will help unless the hospital has 1) made plans to transfer all of the patients to other hospitals and stop admissions and 2) made plans to hire travel nurses (like they did during the pandemic outbreak), costing them more than if they hired new staff. In the end, it will come down to money, even though the union is not emphasizing it as that. Plus, even if they *did find enough new nurses to hire, it would still take time to orientate them and fill all of the spots. Personally, with as many hospitals as there are in NYC and surrounding areas, I would quit and find another job.

  23. I totally agree nursing is so stressful my daughter tells me she's a nurse and she has a bad shoulder and it's just so stressful I mean she makes like 30 30 or $32 an hour and that's really not enough for what she goes through I feel so so sad for my daughter and for all the other nurses out there also I just hope you all get with y'all deserve to get paid more money and more time off and more help God bless the nurses

  24. Why is james brown nasty to me and you highlighted his reply to me. Look if im treated shitty here and nothing is done about it im outta here. I have better uses of my time.

  25. Clapping for doom-to-be-burnt-out never did "fix" anything.
Haven't the Prepper community reinforced to plan ahead? Yes, they have, you included Tommy.

Prepping included taking care of your health – don't put off a physical with a regular doctor. Manage your own health by making good choices. Practice prevention…well, every time I walk through the ER at a major university hospital I can see and hear that many people are misusing the ER.

(I am in and out of the ER with my disabled son whose condition is deteriorating – he has to stay in the ER because there is no appropriate "bed" for his complex needs. I don't have the medical equipment at home for his emergent needs. COVID has delayed needed procedures for 9 months at a time – not enough staff. From what I see the "older seasoned nurses" are no longer working. It is the young gals- new graduates – manning the floors. They are good They are sweet. They are kind They are inexperienced – They don't have the specific nursing skills that I was blessed to have. They are overworked already. And I'm not allowed due to COVID to stay with him to do more than the basics they can get done. The Residents are still learning – they are good. They have book learning. There are no old nurses around to coach them with orders that should be written on the complex care patients. That is just what I can personally see.

Please don't blame the nurses and other staff. Heck, I don't get paid for nursing care at home – I'm burnt out even if I got paid for the nursing care.

PLEASE, don't wait for some symptoms to subside that may leave you in a preventable emergency trip to the ER. Accidents happen -don't wait to get injuries fixed.

Yesterday I lacerated my hand. My First aid training clicked in automatically. I pounded on my new neighbor's door to find someone to drive me 3/4 a mile to the ER.
The waiting room was empty. Not many are being treated for a change. 15 minutes later the Waiting room filled up. But, I was already in a treatment room. The doc looked at my wound – clean to the bone – he commented that not most patients wait too long to go to the ER with lacerations. and that I had done everything I needed to do including running cold water over the wound and pinching the big gap closed with pressure – he generally does not see that most know any first aid.

I apologize for being so wordy – my concern is that the NON-prepared for anything are going to suffer without staff. You simply can NOT have nurses and doctors having breakdowns on the patients who are the last straw that breaks the camels' back.
