Herb Gardening In Zone 7

Growing herbs in gardening for zone 7, outside, is easy if you mix in perennials to your herb plans. Follow Jules and his Herb Gardening in Zone 7 tips from experience in this video.

Are you a veteran gardener that does not grow herbs? Are you thinking of where to start with a vegetable garden?

Whatever the case, growing herbs is one of the more cost effective things to grow. Herbs are most expensive by the ounce but you can grow more than you will need with ONE plant. Perennials to include are rosemary, thyme, sage, chives, and oregano. Heck, even French Tarragon comes back in Zone 7b. I know because I did it. 🙂

And annuals? Just save the seeds and plant again. Heck you can let them dry out on the stem then bury them where you grew the plant in the first place.

Growing herbs is low maintenance. The biggest work load is keeping them watered if you grow them in a container. And that is NOT a great burden.

I guess am saying grow your own herbs. Be blessed & peace y’all.

  1. You asked about seed sources a couple weeks ago. I got two catalogs so far: 1) Sow True Seed, & 2) Baker Creek.
