Hey folks!
I hope everyone reading this had an amazing holiday season and I’m glad to have you back here! With the arctic blast of 2022, we did not get tremendously affected like other areas did…but it did drop the temperature low enough to kill some of the plants in the garden!
With the coldest part of the winter coming upon us, I finally feel like we are beginning to enter the season of rest. There won’t be much growing in the garden for the next couple of months, and outside work will be relegated to warm sunny days.
That doesn’t mean we aren’t still producing food on this homestead. With the grow shelf experiment inside, as well as my new hydroponics growing tower, I am still craning out fresh veggies, as well and fresh eggs from the chickens!
Stay tuned for future garden plans and farm layout. We have a lot of big changes coming to this high desert homestead, and I am thrilled you are joining us!
