  1. Love Bo in the vids – when our cat is being nosy, we call that getting a "CAT scan" 🙂 our dog Bailey gets CAT scans all the time. He is 85lb and terrified of Miss Kitty. Love your show and the positive energy you put out for us all to enjoy!! I do plan to meet you next time your in KY for a cheeseburger.

  2. This has been an extremely informative video and I am eagerly awaiting the rest of the series. I've been heavily considering purchasing one of these, thank you for helping me make a more informed decision.

  3. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and have you and your family 👪 have a safe and wonderful new year 😊
,I don't think electric tractors will be able to keep up with either gas or diesel tractors.

  4. I’m excited to see you put it through testing, without bias either way. We are all learning and this type of tractor will have its place in some operations.

  5. I don't see how an electric tractor will ever work. When you have to get work done you've got to get it done. You don't have time to trek all the way back to the charging station. Wait for it to charge, so you can drive all the way back and start again. Electric tractors are a waste of time. I have zero interest in buying one.

  6. I think that this is a very interesting subject. I really like the way you intend to review the tractor. What you have decided to leave out makes a lot of sense. Looking forward to future episodes to see how this type of tractor fits into real world applications.

  7. Tim, this new series is so cool. Your approach is perfect. Electric motors and batteries are not new technologies — they’ve been used on farms for decades, and the conversion of many drive systems to electric has been change for the better. (I would never convert the electric motor on my bale conveyor back to a pulley drive off the Farmall. Lol.) So, if a company like Solectrac has incorporated electric motors and batteries into a tractor, then it makes sense for a technically savvy tractor guy like you to analyze and evaluate this new approach for its merits and drawbacks. And the fun part is, we get to learn along with you. Hats off to you for giving it a go, and I’m looking forward to it. Keep rockin’ . . .

  8. Thanks for this. Always nice to see a product reviewed without the political baggage on either side. Looking forward to this series. While we'd all love to hear your experiences with this in a blizzard, I don't think anyone would fault you for using a cabbed tractor in single digit temperatures, even the OTC. Unless you're going to make Christy stand outside to take video…
PS: I recently installed a LifePO4 battery in my camper. It has an internal heater making its operating range -4°F ->140°F, charge -31°F ->122°F. You obviously lose some battery at colder temps but could safely operate at those temperatures. Wonder if Soletrac may offer a low temperature version at some point?

  9. Don't have to wait for my tractor to be ready to go just add fuel you can keep your electric tractor good luck with the short running time and volt meter

  10. Question. I watched another youtuber who went to get his rear tires filled. His tire shop put in another bio product instead of rim guard saying they had problems with rim guard damaging the valve stem components. Have you heard any of this?

  11. I've been watching the electric vehicle stuff because I reserved an electric SUV. Most of them accept the highest charge rate between 20 and 80% charged.

  12. Be very careful with those 240 volt plugs. I have heard there have Been failures with them on EV chargers. Not trying to be a naysayer. Just keep an eye on it.

  13. Quite pricey on their website, and 3-6 hours of use between charges, claimed battery life 10 years, good luck in the US tractor market………

  14. OK 11.5 MPH at top speed with Ag rubber.roughly, that's okay. I wish foreign company's cared enough about our cash business to put charts in pounds/ounces/ & MPH…. I guess this tractor is comparable to the 25 hp Diesel compact. At this point in time I am 100% against Electric cars & trucks yet 100% in favor of Battery op tools Drills/Saws/ & so on. Now I am open minded on Electric Tractor & look forward to this series with Tim I know Tim will tell us the truth. Thank you Tim.

  15. Famous last words "this electricity is very easy" haha I've heard that before just practice it's easy then the house burns down.

  16. I just built one on line and the bottom line with taxes was just south of $40,000. Even so, I would consider selling and replacing the 1025R on my small horse farm, but only if the electric had mid mount mower capabilities. My place is just not 3 point finish mower friendly. $40K plus having to buy a ZTR mower for another $12K does not make financial sense for me, even being a tree-hugger.

  17. I think it was on friday dec 23rd we had -5°f to +5°f temps in St.louis Lambert air field. Before the wind chill temps. Winds gusting to 20mph.
