I love the video and the depth in which you explained things. This video definitely deserves the views!
That being said – You stated you couldn't get a hold of Waygu Marbling 9 (Australian Waygu) or Japanese A5 Waygu and instead used prime grade from Sams Club.
There is
absolutelyno comparison between them, and the results you would get from using prime grade are in no way comparable to that of Waygu A5. Because of this, I encourage you trying this again when you can get a hold of that meat because the results will completely shock you, I'm sure, especially if you have never had either types of Waygu.Also important bit of information here – American Waygu from the grocery store is little more or less prime grade or even less than prime on occasion. It's been marketed to be "top grade" beef but in reality, they're banking on the name not on the quality. Having eaten Japanese Waygu A5, I'll never buy American Waygu because it's not even close in quality. But this is just my personal experience.
