Planting Fruit Trees in Backyard Garden

Was a very busy day getting all my new fruit trees that I got from Greg Peterson’s pop up nursery planted. I used a soil mix of 60% locally made compost to 40% native soil, with lots of wormcastings, Azomite Rock Dust, Mycorrhiza and some Pumice Rock for drainage. Gave the trees a good pruning and Covered the ground with about a foot of mulch.

  1. Mycorrhizae is pretty pricey for a small amount, is another substitution we can use instead that we may get more for our money or it is cheaper?
