Pothos Ivy is a low-maintenance, vining indoor plant that’s easily mistaken for philodendron due to its similar heart-shaped leaves. Easy to care for and to propagate, pothos plants are an excellent houseplant for a beginner gardener.
Pothos do best in moderate indoor light, but can survive in a variety of light conditions, including low light. Outdoors they can be grown in shade to partial shade. Wherever you decide to display your pothos, just be sure to avoid direct sunlight.
It is also called devil’s vine or devil’s ivy because it is almost impossible to kill and it stays green even when kept in the dark. It is sometimes mistakenly labeled as a Philodendron, Pothos or Scindapsus in plant stores.
Propagating in water is super easy:
Take Stem Cuttings. Using a pair of sharp and sterilized pruning shears or scissors, take stem cuttings from your mother plant.
Remove the Bottom Leaves. Place the Cuttings in Water. Change the Water Once a Week. Or try like I did and place them at the top of your fish aquarium. New roots will sprout from the nodes submerged in water after 7-14 days or so.
The difference is that water-started plants produce roots more quickly, but the resulting roots aren’t as well-adapted to living in earth, so it will take them a little bit longer to become established once you transplant them. But I don’t plan on taking mine from the water.
Majority of the materials used in this DIY project came from Dollar Tree and cost less than 5 dollars. The barn wood planks were purchased at Walmart at a price of 2.74 here is the link:

This was a fun DIY project, but if you are not experienced with using a multitool saw or jig saw some of the cuts may be challenging taking in consideration the thinness of the wood planks.
If you hav any questions about the project, simply ask in the comments and I will answer as soon as I can.
