  1. It has been 90° or higher all week. We've been in the pool all week you've got to love Southern CA. 🌞 🔥

  2. It's 94 degrees here. I'm melting, but hey, you're garden looks good. Sorry about the bad apples -2020

  3. Hi, Christine! I can’t find a chicken soup recipe you made here. It was a favorite of you Dad’s your step mother makes(?) and it has rice? Thank you for all you do!

  4. Complete opposite weather in my city! Lol. It’s been 103-105°F this week. 🥵

  5. Your gonna have so much foliage when all those pumpkins and squash and cabbage take off!! 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌿🌿🌿

  6. Peas are such graceful plants! And I love the variety of your garden, and those trellises are great!

  7. Be interesting to see how your pumpkin and spaghetti squash come out because they might cross pollinate.

  8. Are we going to talk about the squirrel at :23 and 6:01?🐿🤣 I bet the squirrel took the plant, not the kids, they pull mine right up from the roots!

  9. Here in Fargo, we had a cold summer last year. Nothing grew well. All my melons finally started Vining out in September…so no melons. Tomatoes were stunted and produced hardly any tomatoes. Beets and zucchini were okay…and seriously nothing kills kale, but was cold through July!

  10. It's been a "cold" june here in eastern washington too. Only got in the 90's for a few days lol 😂.

  11. I love the idea of gardening to produce my own food…in my head, but the realness of bugs and worms keeps the idea just in my head. Eww, I hate creepy crawly things lol!! Really enjoyed the video.

  12. We started a garden for the first time in a very long time this year. I'm not a seasoned gardener but started a few seeds inside and was gifted a few tomato plants. Also bought a few seedlings. So far the gifted tomatoes are like yours. Really tall but have lots of blossoms on the one cherry. Maybe I'll look up how to prune the heavier varieties. Never heard about the wall of water. My zucchini make flowers but no zucchini yet. I'm a little South of Boston,
MA and have had some hot humid weather. Good luck. Hope it has warmed up.

  13. And I’m here looking at my garden why won’t my morning glory grow back! LOL I think I have a bunny or mole eating them every time I plant them. And where do you get your friends sayings T-shirts?

  14. Hey if you decide to put homemade solar lights outside or inside…there is one I did from YouTube using stuff from Dollar tree. Mason jar, 2 packs of colored stone things and solar lights. Pour stones in Mason jar and pull solar top off of stake and put thru the Mason jar lid. I got glued around solar part so water wouldn't get in jars. To me the blue stones are the prettiest

  15. I love your backyard garden! We are suburban homesteaders too. 🙂 Do you prune your tomato plants? It helps them to put more of their energy to the fruits. It also keeps them healthier and promotes more airflow. I do have a video (on my VERY small channel LOL) showing how to prune them if you're interested. 🙂 I love watching all of your videos! Thank you for sharing! ~Stephanie

  16. Apple trees generally produce every other year. You could also be right with your hypothesis about a late frost since that definitely can kill the flowering Buds and flowers therefore they are not getting pollinated therefore not producing. I live close to the same growing zone and we deal with the same cold all the time. Even though gardening is tough in our climate it's still worth it! 😉
