Battle of the Bells! Nikka Yuko versus Kurimoto Japanese Garden Friendship Bells



As a follow-up to the tour of the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden in Lethbridge, I wanted to make a direct comparison of the two Friendship Bells. The other bell in question is the Kurimoto Japanese Garden which is located at the University of Alberta Botanic Garden.

One comment on how the bells were rung – the Kurimoto is designed so you end up taking a couple of swings to wind up, which might give a bit a benefit in generating a bigger sound.

    I like the Kurimoto bell, but its a bell I hear so often and I have grown found of the sound over the years. However, both bells have a nice sound and are pleasant to listen to.
