51:40 BAHAHAHAHA
Long long episode much to watch
51:41 oh my God! Mimir channeling inner Link to Sif's Zelda 😂
That tournament is probably one of the fighting games Kratos was in, like playstation all stars and Mortal kombat
thanks welonz.
1:27:47 – That dagger is an Uncharted 2 reference.
Sindri's house supposed to have a quite funny dialogue still 😀
What. a great game. Looking forward to what probably is going to be the last episode next time? The funeral
37:24 It's so nice of her to step back and let Freya revive you
1:25:24 i almost thought he is about to do the 'make contact' gesture of bloodborne to talk with the bird
You missed Birgir in Freyr’s Camp. He’ll have an important role, one you’ve been asking to be filled for a while.
Sooo.. what about Chaurli?
29:11 I don't think he ever tried asking Svartalfheim to help in the war. Sindri clearly said "no more dwarfes are dying for this" upon his entrance into Asgard
It is kinda like a deception, he volunteered to summon the army and came back alone. But can't really blame him
Odin as fake Tyr: Oh you saved me! Thank you so much! Please, give me some food and a nice place for me to sleep in!
Real Tyr: Thanks for saving me, don't worry, I'm not really hungry. Let me stay here for a bit and reflect on what happened. We will me again.
Me: You can tell how the real Tyr behaves while Odin made him look like a coward. If Kratos and Atreaus rescued the real Tyr, you know he would have helped them right away.
Why do the Einherjar keep fighting? Because it's what they were selected for in the first place. As a fiction-based militarist, I understand them. The old warlord is dead, so his lieutenants make a grab for everything they can, and rally the soldiers under them to keep it. It's happened in real life every time a major empire fell. Alexander, Rome, the Balkans, all of them.
I have an idea… Kratos goes to fetch Medusa's head, put her next to Mimir, make them kiss
In theme with Mimir's riddles, and Welonz round room runaround, a riddle:
How many sides does a round building have?
39:08 The thought of Kratos canonically fighting PaRappa the Rapper, and then trying to dismiss the entire experience as a fever dream (until Mimir reminded him that it wasn't) is immensely funny to me.
Given the fact that Freyr's sword is quite important in Norse myths about Ragnarok, (specifically, Freyr having given the sword and his heart to a Jotun woman by the name Gerdr left him with nothing but an antler as a weapon to fight Surtr with — it's implied that he would've won their duel if he still had the sword, and had he won then he also would've saved the world from being destroyed by Surtr's fire,) it's possible that Odin decided to get his hands on the sword as another anti-Ragnarok precaution.
I'm not sure if keeping Tyr alive was necessary… Shapeshifting is hardly uncommon in Norse mythology and Scandinavian folklore, and Odin was quite well known for his ability to assume just about any form the situation called for, so it feels a bit like downplaying him… It also puts into question that whole thing about him transforming into a woman to get his hands on Freyr's sword– URGH! Double-entendre NOT intended! In fact, I hate this particular one! I do NOT support the Odin/Freyr ship!
With the editing at the end, it's funny to see Tyr at all these places in succession: Tyr at Hel's Perch, Tyr in Muspelheim etc it almost sounds like a children's book series 😀
I like his real character though (if that's really him), he's quite intriguing compared to Odin's version.
The real Tyr seems like such nice guy, I hope that we’ll get more of him in the future.
Some dialogue in Kratos's room and Ratatoskr has more to say I guess. 27:48 you can see dialogue button appears but you didn't hit it, which is weird 😀
Welonz try visiting Atreus's room in Sindri's house one more time for some extra dialogue.
I think that was the corpse of the primordial cow in niflheim.
The "Tyr in ___" part was so funny lol! Thank you for a bit of levity after all the heavy stuff from Brock's death onwards.
I really appreciate how you try to get other characters' faces in frame when they're having a conversation, too!
10:40 He cared about Freyr not having it. Probably not even without reason, as Ingrid was able to block and fight Thor's hammer successfully on 2 different occasions. (Bar fight and Atreus teleporting out.)
18:07 How to trap a Welonz.
If only Odin had placed a few of those in your path instead of the midgardians.
25:30 Sore losers sounds like. Don't want to meet again now that the prophecy you were so smug about didn't happen?
Omg this game lasts foreverrr
1:21:10 Real Tyr speaks a bit more short and to the point vs the overly polite fake Tyr.
1:22:00 Real one does make alot more sense here. I was actually even wondering if this prison would be where he is when you found it. After all a prison in the unreachable, and filled with Odin soldiers, Asgard would actually be the most secure location Odin could keep him, rather than just hidden in some other realm, where he has alot less control.
1:27:25 This Tyr also doesn't seem traumatized or at least not willing to show it, despite almost certainly having been tortured aswell.
1:22:56
I might be way off here because I don't fully remember the specific manga chapter, but I'm wondering if that lone flower in the prison cell was a berserk reference? I think I'm reaching quite far to connect the dots but it's the first thing that just came to my mind when I saw this.
An Aesir God of War doing Tai Chi. Interesting.
Someone needs to tell Atreus, of all people, that Tyr is actually alive immediately
