Officially the City of San Antonio, is a city in Texas, United States. The city is the seventh-most populous in the United States, the second-largest in the Southern United States and the second-most populous in Texas. It is the 12th most-populous city in North America, with 1,434,625 residents in 2020.

Founded as a Spanish mission and colonial outpost in 1718, the city in 1731 became the first chartered civil settlement in what is now present-day Texas. The area was then part of the Spanish Empire. From 1821 to 1836, it was part of the Mexican Republic. It is the oldest municipality in Texas, having celebrated its 300th anniversary on May 1, 2018.[11][12][13]

  1. Y'all are in San Antonio!?!? Enjoy your time! This is where I've set up my home and I hope everyone here gives you a great Texas welcome. I loved going through your videos before my trip to England last year and I'll look through them again before next year's trip. That Davy Crockett statue is brand new I believe.

  2. What an amazing place 😍 the Garden and the River Walk were spectacular… not too happy about the Armadillo Racing – i appreciate no armadillo was harmed in the event, but these are basically wild creatures ( even if captive bred) and it seems unlikely that they wouldnt have been seriously stressed out by this activity- which they are doubtless subjected to on a regular basis 😢

  3. I love how every travel presenter be it regular tv or you tube shows the place they visit with their own perspective and altered by their own personality.
I love that all over the world now people are making gardens using plants that suit the local environment. History is very complex and if you study it,you often find it was not how you were taught at school. It's good that you can see history at both the personal level and the dispassionate and detached level.

  4. Thx for yet another educational, yet still entertaining video. My only visit to San Antonio was in 1985, when it's population was just 65 percent of what it is today. The iconic site of the Alamo was something my then 7-yr old oldest son much enjoyed, as I told him about Davy Crockett – the eponymous hero of a tv series I had enjoyed as a young boy in the mid 50s on reel-to-reel film at home in East Africa. I even had the fake coonskin hat!! Your video brought back great memories, though I wouldn't have manhandled armadillo as they did, the animals obviously being sentient and probably upset being played with in this way.

  5. I really enjoyed all the videos you and your family shared with experience living in the UK I currently live in san Antonio and regret moving to this city ..for many reasons I hope my family can either get out of Texas or the country, enjoyed the content though, thank you for sharing
