  1. Jess from Roots and Refuge has alpacas she is always open to talking to content creators. Looking forward to 2023 and any content, especially solar, new chicken coop, and composting toliet.

  2. Follow the Lords guidance and you’ll never go wrong. You are doing a great job on your channel and I’ll enjoy any you are able to share. God Bless you and your family

  3. I like the level of detail you offer on each topic you cover in a video topic. It it amazing how you fill in details others may skip over. I can always follow your reasoning as well as execution! It's nice to have something to take away after viewing one of your presentations.
I hope the lighter workload helps your homeschooling effort. When you do tackle a new topic on video, keep the high quality…

  4. What a blessing to be out of projects. That means that the homestead is on autopilot and things are going good

    Happy for you
    Family time!!!

  5. Please do more on water catchment and detail. We've learned a lot from your solar videos and are now trying to solve water. Problem is that we are in a much colder area than you so we have to figure that out

  6. You could do some videos on maintenance on y'all's equipment, and off-grid systems. Tractor, lawn equipment, vehicles, trailers, solar systems ect. Keep up the good work!

  7. Simply enjoy watching and learning from you.. You make projectS seem doable. Great job on putting family first

  8. Thank you, and God Bless!

🙏🏼🇺🇸🙏🏻 are we really ready and prepared for the New Year of 2023 and whats going to happen?!?

Ideas that would be helpful next year, that I'd like to see,
is seasonal and or regular refresher tips on, self sustainability on/for, gardening (Texas zone), and how to store and preserve what's grown, and how to save the seeds for next season,
    the right soils for plants,
    natural/organic fertilizers,
    composting,
    raising chickens and their health/medical,

Water storage and filtration for people, animals, plants,

How to use things that are commonly trash,

Indoor/outdoor space saving ideas, and storage,

Cost saving shed building ideas out of recycled materials,

    Basic and affordable solar.

God Bless and Happy New Year from Texas.✌🏻❤️🙏🏻☝🏼✝️ 🇺🇸💪🏻👊🏻

  9. I have a Homestead in Texas and would like to meet you sometime if you're interested just email my name at the G u all have a great time and a Happy New Year

  10. Maybe just one week of just what happens in your daily life. It doesn't have to be "projects", just what happens on a day to day basic life on your homestead. You don't need to show everything you do, more like a 're-cap' of your day.

  11. I loved your video on strong men, weak men and I would like more videos that combine any homesteading with biblical wisdom. Thanks,TC

  12. We're about to start our semi-offgrid lake cabin near Corsicana you wanna come help/video that? 😆 🤣 😂

  13. Thank you for all your help. Family is very important especially homeschooling.
May you and your family have a great 2023 New Year.

  14. Check out YT Channel West Meadow Rabbits if you have not already. Great meat rabbit information and may have a quick start product for you in 2023. Reach out to the dude.

  15. Eric,
Your family is always your top priority.
When you can I’d like to see more gardening videos.
With the retaining walls we built this year, we’ve made 5Xs the space for our garden next year.

Rabbit’s are easy to raise. They’re a great source of zero fat protein, the meat is naturally sweet. Their fertilizer is great in the garden and if you stretch and tan their hides you can make all kinds of things with them.
Only breed your doe’s 2Xs a year. It’s better for the animal.
Always put your Doe in with your Buck to breed and then put her back in her hut.
Years ago I raised pure bred Holland Lop Ears, as well as 1/2 breeds.
I had a barter system with a local farm store. We’d “sell” our rabbits to them in exchange for cracked corn for our mallards, dog food, chicken food, etc.

  16. A composting toilet is a huge pain to deal with, IDK if you can get the power to use it for a guest cabin but an incinerator toilet is far easier to deal with. Ambition Strikes has a video on theirs. There is a propane option also.

  17. How many acres are needed for a homestead? I have 1.5 acres which is a big yard but other than my dogs I don't think it's big enough for animals like Alpacas, goats, or cows.

  18. And we love you too ❤️ yes your girls need more of you. Will be looking forward to your next video. It sounds exciting about putting a cabin on the property. God Bless you and yours. 🙏🙏🙏❤️

  19. I have enjoyed your videos all year and look forward to seeing where you go from here. Enjoy you holiday, happy new year.

  20. Why alpacas? They're pretty much a Ponzi scheme in that the only people who have made any real money got in early. I mean, if you guys are fiber artists, then it can make sense, but otherwise, they're not a great investment. Even if you're a fiber artist, sheep are a better investment in many ways.

Source: old fiber artist who's been doing this since the 80s and has seen too many alpaca farmers go under.

  21. Can you show us when you start your seeds from cool veggies to warm veggies 🙂 thank you so much I appreciate it. I'm zone 8b

  22. Blessings to you and your family! I love watching your content on gardening, animal husbandry, water collection, and self sufficiency.

  23. That cabin will be interesting – especially if you have any architecture design knowledge. I appreciate whatever you are able to share, and bid you, your family, and your entire channel a healthy and prosperous new year.

  24. I just found you and love your channel. We live in East Texas as well and I'm wanting to make our properly more homestead instead of just property owners without purpose. Thank you for your videos. I'm going to start using some of your ideas today! Happy New Year!

  25. I enjoy watching the gardening videos since I am also in East Texas. We are off grid so it is fun to watch how you do things.

  26. Good for you family always comes first I sure do appreciate the videos that you do on chickens and gardening it has helped me a lot thank you
