I have a flower pot big enough i can stand in it and take a bath. what i do id go to walmart buy one small bag of compost and pour it in then all fall i add all my kitchen scraps cover with the soil and wet and put black bag over it and with in a week the scraps are gone i do this all fall and winter and by spring i have great soil for flower pots.i even add some of my coffee grounds once they are dried out.
