I think it's a model of a right hand and a left foot taken out to the forest by the students in order to get a viral clip on YouTube. It looks like it's covered in wax or maybe skin tone latex. If it isn't a scam then it would have appeared on the national and international news, and it didn't so it must be a scam.
When was Prader-Willi syndrome first get diagnosed because that sounds very similar to what was wrong with Teraray(pardon my spelling). It had to have been something very similar for him to eat himself to death at such a young age.

I think the “strange creature” is a type of fungus.
On the left it looks like an arm and hand, covered in slime, but an arm and hand. On the right an unfinished limb, like something in a pod in Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I didn’t see any one creature as you and others claimed. I certainly didn’t see webbed fingers or toes. It wasn’t a very good picture. It’s hard to believe in this technological age the photo couldn’t have been enhanced and clarified to make whatever it is more recognizable. Also there is no scale in it. One can’t tell if it was 3 feet or 3 inches long. In my opinion the most obvious thing it is, is a hoax. Like the picture of the Loch Ness creature, constructed and photographed in the 1930s, also with no reference scale. 👎
