Indoor Garden Tour 2023 (You can't steer a stationary ship)-and it's DAY 16 of our 31 Days of Giving

You CAN’T Steer a Stationary Ship: Indoor Garden Tour 2023 -and it’s DAY 16 of our 31 Days of Giving

Our 16th gardening giveaway video is a full indoor garden tour 2023, and we focus on an imporant gardening idea: You can’t be overtaken by analaysis paralysis when it comes time to grow your own food.

A large part of our journey toward self-sufficiency is pushing forward with planting and making sure we are growing the amount of food we need to feed our family. If we don’t plant and keep on top of things we will drift backwards, farther away from achieving our goals.

In this video, we encourage you to grow more of your own food while giving you a full garden tour. We show you the vegetable seedlings we have started.

We hope you enjoy this video!

Today’s Giveaway winner gets a really nice garden kneeler.
You can purchase it here: https://amzn.to/3CngGul

If you want to take part in the giveaways, comment on this video or one of our community posts from now until the next video comes out.

  1. Still working on garden planning. Limited space requires forethought. Seed starts should be next month for me

  2. Just before watching this video I planted the first seeds for my spring garden – some Zebrune shallots.

  3. Congrats to the winner! You are going to looove this prize! I love calaloo amaranth! I grow it every year and let it go to seed. Mine get about 8 feet tall. My granddaughters love to just grab leaves and munch. I wash the seeds really well and pop them and use it for a pan or two of Calaloo Crispies!

  4. I definitely have a seed addiction! As for my ship, this is my first year with a real plan and we'll see how it goes. I'm sure it will be a mess 😆 but I learn from every mess, so that's okay with me.
    Congratulations winner!

  5. Congratulations winner! I wanted try to grow radishes indoors this winter but haven’t tried yet

  6. Quite impressive indoor work on your planting!
A sprouting video would be helpful.
Congratulations to our winner today…great prize!
BTW, congrats on reaching 11K subs, Guten Gardening!!🎉🎉🎉

  7. I have said each year that this is the year I don't grow through the winter (6a Ct) Not happening!🤣 Just harvested brassica leaves for a winter salad from my outside double plastic covered fall garden! 3 greenstalks on the deck! Just started indoor seedlings and next is winter bottle sowing! I've saved a great deal of seeds and am now looking for new varieties! I do know when to slow down, but now is not the time! I love watching what you're doing in your grow tent! Thank you!

  8. With my health problem I need one of does kneelers, I can’t kneel so I bend and at the end of the day I am dead with the back pain

  9. Congratulations to the winner! I had no idea such a thing existed, and I now need one!

I've always had Merlot lettuce take a couple days to a week longer than other types. Both indoors and outdoors, they're always slower. But they seem to tolerate a wider range of temperatures than some of the other varieties I've tried.

I'd definitely like to see what you've grown and how it's turned out. Dabbled in this quite a bit.

While I have a ridiculous amount of seeds, I rotate them, buy more, seed other people's spaces, save what I grow, so on so forth. There are still varieties and things that I want. WANT, Frog. You don't NEED them…

  10. Definitely guilty of too many unplanted seeds here. This was a good motivation for getting the ship moving.

  11. Congratulations winner number 16. This video shows how badly we need backups. The ones in the greenstalk may have been the seeds that couldn't germinate for some reason known only to the plant they came from. So heavy backups is very important. I love this channel, and glued to my video device every single day. I can't wait for spring so I can plant my potatoes. Have a wonderful day everyone.

  12. Congrats to number 16th winner! Your potatoes are looking really good. I’m growing mine in a box and they are looking good. Last year I planted so many back ups. I ended up giving away plants. I think I got a little overzealous.

  13. Never heard of some of these vegetables 😕 🤔! And Never eaten some! My garden this year will be basic veggies! Cabbage, tomatoes, potatoes, watermelons, cantaloupe, cucumbers, collards, beets and some fruits! Some of these are firsts for me!

  14. Congratulations to the winner! Boy do I need one of those. Can’t stand anymore so I do most every thing sitting.

  15. I have lots of seed packets and ready for spring to get here so I can plant them outside in my GreenStalk. Not ready for indoor gardening yet. Congratulations to the winner of the kneeling bench.

  16. Do you keep your grow lights on 24 hours a day or do you turn them off for a few hours? I've heard some veggies need at least so many hours a day of light to thrive.

  17. Congrats to the winner! Your indoor garden is very impressive. Agree, planning and working with timely goals makes for successful garden.

  18. Way to go winner!
I would greatly love to see how to sprout things from the pantry! How exciting to know I have resources I didn't think of!
One trick I use for getting seeds positioned exactly where I want is to use a cheap pair of tweezers, especially for small seeds like basil 😊

  19. Congratulations to the winner!
My step this year seems simple enough, but can also be challenging when life happens. The step is to follow through. I know I can't be the only one like this, but I spend hours doing research, time and money getting the supplies I need/want, start seedlings, plant the transplants and do everything I can to ensure success on the front end of the process only to not follow through with the tasks necessary to ensure a bountiful harvest.

  20. Congratulations to the winner. I really enjoyed this video. The prize is a great gardening tool for us seniors or anyone that has trouble getting up off the ground when gardening.
