Potatoes start here | Blank Canvas | Allotments For Fun and Food

Finally my camera has been returned. I have a wonderfully sunny day which proved to be an island in the storm. Waste comes over from the house (Nothing cooked just raw veg waste) A couple of pumpkins gave in to the frost so they go in to. I start making plans for the cold frame lid to be revealed later. The wind has taken its toll in various places, Broccoli are on the lean again and the old broccoli is ready to come out. I go over my thoughts for the carrot bed in the poly tunnel. I settle for working outside due to the sunny weather, time to work on the shed base area I think. Levelling goes well and then I leave it to settle. Ive decided to use my own compost for potatoes this year and the compost is now running low for my needs , who would have thought.A little more moving out of my old space and I’m done for the day.
