I actually appreciate the added focus on Iris and her situation, it never really felt focused on so far in the LN but it has been clear there will at some point be an arc with Iris as the focus. Having her personality and failings brought into focus better before then is good to see, bonus as the arc next here is gonna hit her hard even as or rather especially as she is still just a side character.

Ever since Alexia's rescue, Iris just kept believing both the Garden and the Cult are terrorist organizations while the latter actually started it all. The Garden simply kept stopping them.
She wasn't even able to defeat a monster created off an experiment by the Cult, so how the hell would she stand a chance against Shadow or Alpha or even any of the Seven Shades ?
She got EVERYTHING wrong and the Bushin Festival simply won't help her diplomacy wise.
