ANTHURIUM CARE & REPOT for New Home — Ep. 300

I have three anthuriums that will be getting a new home—so they’ll be introduced to some new planters, new potting mixture, and pretty soon—a new space. Join me in a little repot and conversation here.

  1. Cool pots. Cool plants. Might catch the 'Spring plant and potting soil hunting bug' encouraged by our sun just peeking out too, while watching this video. ☀️🍲🌱

  2. The decorative pots do lend an element of class! I can see the first pot you used with a cacti or succulent. Love the gold cache pot! Very elegant planting. I use mostly terra cotta; I especially like the pots made in Germany that come in darker shades and muted white.
Proven Winners is now selling houseplants in the big box stores. Saw a gorgeous Anthurium (forgot the name but I do believe the label mentioned it) but the plants come with a a pricey and not welcome cache pot. Plant people like to choose their own pots. I prefer buying a plant in a nursery pot.
Seems like plants are being sold mostly as decor, not for their botanical interest. Might as well sell them in furniture departments or with vases and lamps!!.

  3. Can we actually fertilize houseplants in the winter? I just changed some of my plants into leca. Should i fertilize it? Please help. Thank you.

  4. Thank you Ms. Summer. Are you going to be moving into the meadow house when it’s done? If your going to rent the meadow house out some people aren’t able to take care of plants? ❄️💚🙃

  5. Happy New Year and thank you for sharing Summer, that's a beautiful plant and planter!! I've had to repot my Anthuriums so this is perfect timing, oh and my Peace lilly has bloomed for the second time, SO happy I've finally learned how to care for them!!❤️🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼

  6. Good morning today is 1/5/23 and while watching the change ur plants out to different pots. I Noticed on The Large one U repotted that the Roots had Started to grow Upwards. Can those Roots be Cut off❓ OR is it best Not! To Cut them ⁉️ I enjoy ur channel 💜

  7. No idea how I managed to get distracted from such lovely anthuriums but what plant is that back on the counter with the small, round, cascading leaves? 👀
