Is Gardening WORTH IT?๐ŸŒฟ (A Small Urban Gardener Perspective)

A bunch of people found themselves with extra time and at home in the last couple of years and gardening became a new healthy hobby for many… I wonder how many of those people loved getting their hands in the soil, for me, working in my small garden has become a huge part of who I am and how I decompressed! Like I mentioned in the video, it feeds my soul.

  1. Seeds are so addicting! So many beautiful things to try and grow… ๐ŸŒธ It's a hobby for me and pays in happiness

  2. Yes it is worth it but I gotta stop spending money. Iโ€™m just going to maintain it for a while . For at least two or three years ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

  3. This was so relaxing to watch! Im a very beginner gardener, lots to learn but im enjoying the process!๐Ÿ˜Š

  4. Asparagus is the best and easiest crop. Youโ€™ll love it! PS I also see myself becoming a seed collector.

  5. This was a truly wonderful video. You have given voice to so many of our feelings about gardening, including the time and money issues. As a 70 plus year old, I think I can add with some evidence and truth, that gardening keeps you active, young and enthusiastic. Add to this, the tremendous satisfaction you get from the beauty you create, every single season, your successes and failures, your aches and pains, the friends you make, and is it worth it is answered clearly in the positive.

  6. I am the same. Gardening soothes my soul. I need to clean my house etc but choose gardening 90% of the time. Lol. I am out there almost every day even in winter- except for the Arctic blast time. Need to clean! Great video

  7. I feel the same, itโ€™s definitely a very expensive hobby especially when we collect all the lovely things to put in our garden, Iโ€™m terrible for buying metal obelisks ๐Ÿ˜‚ but like you said โ€œitโ€™s good for your soulโ€ โค

  8. Yes, it is so worth it! ๐Ÿ˜Š So many of us can relate to what you said. when I go out into my garden and start looking at the beautiful flowers, see what is growing, planting something new, or digging a hole, before I know it my husband is looking for me wondering if Iโ€™m fine, lol ๐Ÿ˜† I agree with you, it does gets costly, but I enjoy it and it provides me with relaxation ๐Ÿ˜Š Thanks for the video, it was nice to see you again in the garden ๐Ÿชด โค

  9. Ditto. I'm in zone 9a Texas. We had a bad freeze. As I listened to friends who say they are done because we are getting extreme cold and hot weather like never before. As I have been cleaning my garden after the freeze I realize I can't give up. For me it would be like

  10. This time of year, I'm counting down the days until the warmer weather arrives! Gardening is my medicine and it is my tranquil escape! Thank you for great content! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

  11. Itโ€™s definitely worth it! There are a few things that I grow that should save money but not all of it. I enjoy the idea that I grew it myself.
At the end is the summer Iโ€™m in awe of the physical volume of plants growing in the garden and to think, only a few months ago that was all just a hand full of seeds. Nature is amazing! I love that Iโ€™m able to participate in it ๐ŸŒฟ

  12. My gardening experience is priceless! I love being outside in nature and growing anything! I do harvest a lot.of veggies and have been able to share with my close friend and her family in their time of need, that is a huge reward for me

  13. My Dad was an excellent example of how fulfilling it is to garden…my yard is literally "where time stands still." I fell in love with gardening 20 years ago after hitting a root which smelled sweet (like root beer) and since then I've been hooked. Thank you for asking the question…yes, it's worth every sore muscle and dime spent. ๐Ÿ’š

  14. Gardening is therapy for the soul..hands in the dirt..love it..zone 8b, south Georgia.

  15. It is worth it for me! I love being outdoors playing in the dirt. I love the birds visiting, and I even get a kick out of how clever the squirrels can be. I get deer and rabbits munching sometimes and that is a bit annoying, but I just have to be more proactive with critter repellent!

  16. I planted tulip bulbs recently and what I canโ€™t seem to find online is, do you water them and if so, how often? I want to have some success in the spring!

  17. Hi Roxanna, so glad to see you posted a video today. I was out in my tiny backyard this morning trying to clean up a bit from all the rain weโ€™re having here in California lol and you came to mind. So to see a new video today was a pleasant surprise. Can I ask you where you got your garden boots. Iโ€™ve been looking for some boots for some time now, and actually have ordered like three pair from Amazon but theyโ€™re always so heavy and difficult for me to walk in. Noticed you have quite a few pairs. Are there any particular ones that you would suggest? Also congratulations on 20,000 subscribers and sending you warm wishes for 2023.

  18. Good morning from Vienna Austria. Guilty as charged. I started 2 days ago.. Still more bulbs to plant. I really like your videos .๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜

  19. Collecting seeds for future uses! Beauty or food! We just do what put us in close proximity to Gods creations! Grow on ! ๐ŸŒฑโ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ

  20. Good Friday morning Soil and Margaritas. Yes, Urban Gardening is definitely worth it – considering all the edible plants and weeds available , as opposed to having just grass in your yards – plants and weeds including Bittercress, Burdock, Chicory, Chickweed, Claytonia and Clover, just to name a few.

  21. Hello I am on my 4 year of gardening and I totally love it. I love the fact that I can say I grew it in my garden. I even started growing lettuce inside for the winter months who knew it could be addicting.

  22. I feel the same way about gardening. Gardening has played such a holistic part in my mental and spiritual healing. Thank you for your video! I love following you. โค

  23. I love how down to earth you are. It's like being in your garden with you walking around & yes, helping you collect seeds.

  24. ๐ŸคฃI told my husband that we have to pay to remove some trees so that I have more light to grow more veg! Talk about not worth it financially! But it does so much for my mental health as well!
