Container Gardening

Starting Native Seeds | Container Garden with Native Plants | Small Space Gardening for Pollinators

Today I’m starting native seeds that I had kept in my refrigerator to cold stratify, mimicking a winter season. I’m planning to container garden with these plants so I can help support the pollinators as much as I am able to. Many people are renters these days, or live in apartments with only a small space on their balcony or patio to garden, so I wanted to share in my experience doing the same thing with native plants of the Midwest and Great Lakes regions.
This is the second time I am starting native seeds, first time stratifying with intention.
Stay tuned until the end of the video, I show you an update after a week under the growlight!

-Coco Coir
-Sand and vermiculite
-A spoon
-Plastic baggies for stratifying

-A marker or pencil
-Seeds

-Growlight
