Yep. Those plants are lovely in glass vessels, Mr. Richard!
I miss your witty jokes, but I also loved how you tried something new with only music accompaniment! NICE JOB! The music is catchy, the volume is good, and your hands seemed to move in symphony with the music:-).😊🪴🎼
Awesome video…what type of plants are you using
Agree w/Sarah
I like the music only aspect, no explanation needed.
I'm curious if this is an experiment for you to see how your plants do? I would be interested to see the same plants over time if kept this way. Also, would this sort out fungus gnats? Looks lovely!
Gorgeous 😊🪴❤️
finally caught up with your vids. started from your oldest weeks ago. the transformation of this channel was quick! also, got many of my new plants after i encountered them in this channel: birkin, ficus elastica, nanouk. interesting how these also live in the hot Philippines. you should do another q&a soon! 💪
I have done the same thing to 2 new plants, a small monstera. Experimenting with using Leca.
My favorite plant guy!💚
Curious about nutrition and root growth due to lack of soil and space…🤔
Wow !! Excellent idea,I want to same style but anthuriums plant 🌱
Makes me feel happy 😘thank you brother…
Beautiful plants.
Each of them looks lovely!
I love the look of these, and I have been learning about semi-hydro and leca/pon, so I am wondering now, are you planning on doing a follow up video on this method of growing? Up keeping? Fertilizing? I realize this is not exactly like semi-hydro since the whole of the roots are submerged so it is more like growing a vutting in water I guess… I really want to know how it turns out!
I like the look of those. Very pretty 🤩
I enjoyed this video. I would also like to see how the plants are doing. Some plants seem to thrive in those conditions and others do not do as well. An update would be appreciated. Thank you for the video.
Oh I didn't know I could grow ti plants in water! I have a chocolate cutting and I have some red ones outside i can propogate. I'm going to do this as soon as they grow roots.
I recognized the Peace Lily, but the other 2?? I still struggle with identification. Love your channel!!
What would stop the roots from rotting or water from going stale?
I don't understand why instructional videos have music instead of explanation!! I have been following your channel and love it, but PLEASE have instructions to go along with it. Just including a link for items isn't enough sometimes..
-what kinds of plants did you use for these?
-can any small rocks/pebbles be used?
-how long did you leave the plants in these containers?
-did you use tap water?
I guessing many people are “new” to plants and didn’t realize some can easily go from soil to only water. This likely left them with many questions. Some specifics would have been very helpful to them.
Doesn’t the water get slimy…what’s the upkeep? Very pretty though !
I'll give this a try with my monstera adansonii! So far they're just cuttings that have been rooting in a vase of water, shouldn't be too much trouble to add some decorative stones. I imagine using leca or lavastone would help keep the water clean for the roots as well. Adding a drop of honey could also be very helpful for keeping bacteria away.
Please do more plant shop tours, yours are the best tours I've seen on youtube because it does not have too much of distracting music and cuts in video so it is more consistent and pleasing to watch.
Question:
What exactly keeps the roots from rotting?
I Love them!!! ❤🎉
I have done this with several of my plants and plan to do several more as soon as I get more vases that I like. I wish that I could do it with all of my babies, but sadly I've found out the hard way that it doesn't work for everything. Before spring, I'm hoping to have about 80% of my collection transferred over. Those pesky fungus gnats are gonna be soooo mad at me!!!
I have a dracaena and spider Plant in water and it's ok. Would recommend if like more clear glass look, to use darker stones like this, but if ok with smoky or colored glass, less need for stones. Reason is because algae builds really fast- esp. for hight light plants- in clear vases.
I am sceptical about this. I don't think it'd work for most plants. Surely the roots will begin to rot without oxygen around them? How do you provide enough nutrients and maintain microbes around the roots?
Nice video! And great ideas 👍
What about root rot?
Can I do this with Spider and Wandering Jew?
Boston fern?
I like this video concept&outcome! It's like the way-too-short Tiktok videos got long enough to actually explain enough for me to understand what's going on 🌱
