In this episode in our series of bonsai techniques we will be covering winter maintenance and trimming of a Japanese maple winter. The purpose of this video to show how to style a Japanese maple in progression. Usually, maples should be worked on early spring while the leaves have not budded out but in winter when the plant is dormant you can trim but not flush trim or repot until bud push.
