Our friends Maggie and James have come to visit our homestead in Portugal. They help us renew and refresh the vegetable garden.
To make it happen, we all make woodchip.
If you’d like to watch an unsponsored review of the woodchipper
then watch this video https://youtu.be/yKhu8vJT6io
They brought their drone and the footage shows us the amazing progress we’ve made on our property over the last 18 months.

Feliz ano novo! Wishing you the best for 2023!
The drone shot gives a lot more perspective to the work you have put in. Are you planning to do work on the house too this year?
Great viewing and excellent work. Can't wait to see more content 💪
A beautiful, informative and relaxing video to watch. Thank you, and compliments of the season to you.
Nice job. Seems we are in tune. 🤣 We are also in the middle of revamping our veggie garden after our flood. This is the earliest we have started preparing for spring. Maybe we can actually get some stuff to grow and harvest this year. 🤣🤣
Happy new year to you and your families, hope '23 is better than last year for all of us. Great video and great start to the year. You and your friends really did a number on that vegetable patch, will pay you dividends in the months ahead. Bet you and your friends had a blast! Looking forward to seeing your progress throughout the year. Take care, Poo
Fab teamwork 😊
The sight of your lemon tree gave me a craving for a gin and tonic: shame on you! Seriously, Happy New Year and God Bless…
Awesome stuff guys. A nice bit of winter sun here today in the English Midlands, time to strim the wildflower garden and prune the hornbeam I reckon!
Great job👍👍
Great video!
I hope you have a great 2023!
Hugs
Nothing beats that feeling of achievement. Well done guy's. Love your dungarees, you wear them well 👍☺️
Boa tarde, nas oliveiras deixar só um pé.
Very much excited to see your videos, kudos to you guys. Love and only love for the progress you are making with all the efforts❤️
Well done! Are you happy with the chipper you have? I see the same brand is available here in France. Pricey, but the less expensive ones have a ridiculously small opening to feed in the branches. How large a diameter of branch can you put in yours? Thanks for any chipper advice!
Hi again!
I am sure many people are trying to tell you what to do with your channel. I am simply going to make a general suggestion. If you were to put information about your land like size of the land, size of the house(s), (maybe how much it was) etc. in the "about" section of the channel that would be super useful for your subscriber as the information would always be available.
I still think you scored the best property of all the channels I follow.
Great channel and we are really thinking about buying a place in Portugal ourselves!
Amazing job both of you. Happy new year.☀️🌞👌
🌟👍🍀💐
Welcome back to 2023 🙂
Lovely to see you both back missed you happy new year
The garden looks fab, well done 🙂
Beautiful property…. awesome….
It all looks fab. I'm sure you feel satiafied to the bone 🙆🏻♀️.
Happy New Year!
As long time farmers and small holders now in our 60s and me in my mind 70s we think you are doing marvellously well. But, you need to plan stuff more especially when using your wood chipper Dan move it to where you want your woodchips or chip it straight into your pickup truck or wheelbarrow. As we age we really need to work smarter not harder. You are full of energy now but later it all becomes a lot harder on our bodies. What about getting some chooks but you will have to fence off your veggie garden or they will scratch up your seedlings etc.
We are enjoying your progress and your steep learning curve you have come a long way well done for changing your lifestyle and living in such a lovely country. We live in Western Australia so climate similar and we have a Portuguese guy lives near us,they are indeed lovely people.
Well isn't that a beautiful garden! Lovely black soil and wonderful chips! You've inspired me to rent a chipper for allmy branches here. I've tossed them back in the woods or we've burned them. No more! Happy new year!
It is looking good with the mulch down in the paths!
Looking mighty good! 😊
😂❤😂love it
Super video
Oh the joy of a woodchipper, and freshly laid paths! Your compost looks wonderful and the garden is fabulous. Loved the drone view. All the best for the new year to you bith from Australia. 😊
Happy new year everyone! Superb job!
Fantastic efforts ❤Can’t wait to see what spring / summer will bring !
The buildings on the property have so much potential and could turn this place into paradise for you and your guests! Therefore less gardening and more renovating until the place becomes inhabitable. So much can be done even with small budgets and a few inexpensive tools. Start with the roof, then windows and doors, etc. Use recycled materials.
