We made it a whole year!! Planning the whole thing out has been like the primary focus of the last few years of my life so I could probably talk for days about our house but I didn't want to make the video too long. After the house tour maybe we should do a live stream for questions and all the tiny boring facts most people might not care about?? haha
A hour tour is still coming–it just turns out it takes a long time to set up a brand new house. We want to get most of it and up and going so we aren't just showing a bunch of empty rooms with boxes and whatnot. And thank you all so much! We wouldn't be here without you all watching and supporting us.

How does the typical Japanese 30 year depreciation on a house, treat your modern construction?
In the US, the house would be expected to APPRECIATE in value instead. In Japan, it’s an incentive to rebuild new after 30 years.
It’s a very different mindset.

May I ask how you clean your carpet floor? I never had one but only can imagine how quickly dirty it gets especially with cats
Not sure if there's already something attached, but you can buy transparent rough plastic foil to glue on the stairs, it's barely visible and makes it easier for the cats to run up and down the stairs
