Making soil for our garden is easy and free, once you start collecting organic matter and making your own soil, you will be hooked for life. You can of course do the very same thing in the ground too, we have and it works GREAT!

Hi, first comment !😊
It's almost planting season indoors for me, I can't wait.
What zone r u in? Thank you for all your great advice!
Robbie, thank you so much for teaching me how to grow good food 🥰💞🥰
I’m getting all my leaves and kitchen scraps ready for my spring garden!
Can't wait till I can start getting plants growing again. Your zucchini and peppers and everything just look so good. And of course the broccoli for Kitty.
Hi Robbie, I was just out adding to the 17 15 gallon nursery pots I've been building soil in. Thanks to your suggestions, I am now collecting the soiled paper towels from cleaning bird cages, paper rolls, egg shells, all sorts of leftovers, etc. and adding to soil from old pots and a few deceased plants. I'm going to top with a few inches of purchased soil (fingers crossed it's good soil). What a difference it makes to create your own soil!! Oh, one of my most beautiful plantings this year includes my beloved deceased rooster (died from exhaustion I think). Anyway, I planted a package of wildflower seeds on top and they are gorgeous and still blooming. He really added some 'life' to the soil.🐔🐓
Is the lack of earthworms / microbes related to the totes not be on the ground — on the soil to attract them into the tub? I do understand that they also need new food but standard soil -in the ground – does have consistent microbes/worms.
OH HECK YEAH ROBBIE, WE NEEDED THIS TEACHING 🙌 THANK YOU SO MUCH ROBBIE 🙏 ❤ LOVE YOU GUYS.
How do the worms come to containers that are not on the ground
Thanks! I have also begun composting leaves, kitchen scraps, and coffee grounds, along with various biodegradable items like papers and cardboard.
Shalom Shalom Robbie!!!
I am back to check in. I have so much soil from last year. I have leaves in all of my totes and the old soil covering it. I still have soil piled up that I purchased in storage and I haven’t had to use it yet (not even last growing season).
