Binotto's Revenge on Ferrari!

Formula One team principles are in extremely short supply and when it comes to motorsport management, there is nothing else quite like it. So when a manager becomes available who has worked at the top for almost three decades, who has tasted success throughout his career, and has worked at the biggest motorsport team in the world, that gets people interested. Mattia Binotto is just that man and he could be gearing up for a huge move that would put him head to head with the team that fired him. Binotto is ready to return and reap his revenge.

  1. Great engineer for sure but not a great team leader. Ferrari needs a 2nd Jean Todt. Someone strong, who inspire. Last year they did their best with what they had, and people were happy seeing them improve, but I think he is too polite (for lack of a better word) to lead a top team. For that someone like Jean Todt or Toto Wolff is needed.

  2. You failed to also mention, McLaren only got 3rd in 2020 because Ferrari were useless and more importantly Racing a point got a points reduction..
So in theory McLaren have stagnated for quite a number of years:

  3. As RB fans, love to see Mattia in Red Bull Family.. Bring him back home Mr.Horner please.. ☺☺

  4. Too many mistakes coming from the pit wall. Strategy errors fall on one man, and that's him. It was a consistent theme throughout Ferrari for the last 12 years. But it's up to the man at the helm to right that ship. And he failed to do it.

  5. Ferrari made a mistake they should have definitely kept them it was their strategy department needed a reshuffle.

  6. i dont think ferrari should of got rid of him, as hes a great engineer ,his stength lies in engineering not team manager.

  7. First, I love Ferrari and I'll probably get a lot of flack for the following, but so be it. While Mattia may be a great engineer, he failed as a Team Principal. I understand supporting your team mates, however heads should have rolled in the 'strategy' department, but didn't. And he couldn't even own up to making the mistakes they did, rather everything was done correctly. At least Toto and Christian can do that. Then, he chastises Leclerc to make sure he doesn't openly point out their failures. Further, for the team leader to basically say out load that they really weren't there to win is unforgivable. IF he comes back to F1, he should restrict himself to technical roles and leave management to people who are competent in that area.

  8. Binotto was a good man, but to fix a culture that has been around since Enzo´s days, takes much longer than Binotto had. Hopefully Fred V can do it. Binotto was more tech, Fred V vil be more on the human side of things. Let's see where Binotto goes from here.

  9. I feel sorry for Mattia . All he needed was a new hair style. Ferrari is about style, fashion, and appearance as well as performance.

  10. Binotto is still a mighty force in engineering and should be snapped up without haste. He also does a great cosplay as an Italian Egon Spengler. Like Spengler, a genius in his field.

  11. In my opinion Ferrari probably should have sacked the Head Strategiest, and at least given Binotto one more year..

  12. Not sure the guy responsible for last season's debacle at Ferrari is the one that needs to get revenge. Ferrari was absolutely outclassed as a team and that was Binotto's responsibilty. I think he needs to go somewhere to repair his tattered reputation if anything, but I would bet against that happening.

  13. I think Binotto did a amazing job, yes his strategic team was not great, but since he was TP he got Ferrari back on top.

  14. He sucked as a Team Principal. He should never have been promoted to TP role and that too replacing Arrivabene. Arrivabene was a man's man and had 2 great seasons in 2017/18. They should've continued with Arrivabene as TP and Binotto managing the technical division. Ferrari's biggest issue is the constant replacement and no consistency. Look at Michal/Jean/Brawn Ferrari or RB which still have Horner/Marko/Newey or Merc.

  15. I wonder if Mattia is the team principal that Michael Andretti said that they already hired… would be a great choice, not sure if Mattia would move stateside though..

  16. Ferrari's main problem is that they always act as if they were world champion last year. If the expectations are set at that level, it's hard to make fans happy by improving into anything else but first place.

  17. So you know nothing about where he is going, what a waist of time your video is, just like the sound of your own voice do you ?

  18. Binotto is good leader,we recommended to any team ,good luck to him amen 🤲 insyaallah

  19. Audi owns by VW not Lamborghini !
Lamborghini and Ducati own by Audi and VW group !!!
You must have the right facts !

  20. Binotto wouldn’t be bad at Renault/Alpine. It’s brand that’s been making engines for decades, especially F1 caliber. His years of engineering experience could be very valuable to them. Not saying he has to be team principal, but head technical engineer would be a great role for him.
